Chapter 2 (Max)

Goal !!! I had just scored my first goal, and it was my first time ever playing soccer. This wasn't an actual game, it was just the tryouts, and I was only here because of my neighbor Eric. Eric was the only boy who lived on my street the rest of the kids were girls. You would expect for my sister, Jinx, to like then but she doesent. They hate my sister and my sister hates them. But I can see why, there really mean to her, there is this one girl named Claire and she makes fun of both of us because we just moved here and since we have never been to a real school, we have always been home schooled. But that's all going to change today.

After soccer practice I walk over to Eric " when will I find out if i've made the team" I ask.
"Next week". I walk away quickly after that because I could see Eric's friends about to walk over towards us. He has mean friends, I try to avoid them as best as I can. Anaway I would find another time to talk to Eric, right now I was supposed to walk over to my sister ballet studio where we were going to Joan ( our mon) who was going to drop us off us off at school. Well that's what we expected to happen, but of coarse that is not what happens. why else do you think my sisters name is Jinx, her name means bad luck.

When I reached the ballet studio Jinx was standing outside talking to someone on her phone. Her dirty blond hair was pulled up in a bun and her clothes were soaked. As soon as she sees me, she starts walking towards me yelling
"Joan can't make it, were going to have to walk to school". Great I thought, our school was 9 miles away, but that's not what worried me. I was worried about the fact that it was raining, and it was raining hard.

5 minutes later we show up in front of the school, soaked and exhasted. Your probably wondering how we got to school so fast, we'll i'll tell you. My grand father was the fastest man on earth , when he was born lightning struck the hospital, causing a fire. And the only person who survived that fire was my grandfather. And from then on he had the ability to run really fast, now by fast I don't mean faster than everyone in his school, but I mean faster than a cheetah, faster than anything really. Doctors were confused, they didn't know what was happening because when my dad was born he wasn't a fast runner at all and he couldn't light things on fire with his hands. Joan thinks that the powers skip a generation, so that means that it would get passed down to me. Now you know how we got to school so fast.

As Jinx and I walk through the doors of the school everybody's head turns and the stare at us with a confused expression on their faces. I was going to use my powers to dry off but now i'm glad that I didn't. Some woman ushers us down a long hallway which has a little door at the end of it. There is a little window in the center of the door and there is bright green sign above the door which says: Nurses Office. She hands us towels and then walks out of the room, but not before I get a good look at her badge that was hanging around her neck. The badge had said Mrs.Davis : principle. As soon as Mrs. Davis leaves the roon me and Jinx turn and look at each other. We were quiet for a few seconds then we both burst out laughing
"that was hilarious did you see the look on her face, priceless" said Jinx.

After a few minutes the nurse comes in and brings some more towels, which are not very helpful because we has been in her office so long that there was already a puddle at our feet and we were already mostly dry. By the time we left the nurse it was already time for lunch.
