Chapter 19 (Max)

I was lying in a green pasture, I look over and see a willow tree on top of the hill, I see a little boy and his Dad playing together.
" I wish I had that " I said to my self. Then all of a sudden they start walking towards me, the fluffy white clouds disappear and are replaced with rain clouds. I try to run away but I can't, then everything starts to fade away. I scream as I'm thrown into a world of darkness.

I wake up and realize that it was all a dream.
"Clack, clack!" I hear a knock on the door.
"Who is it ?" I ask.
"It me, Jinx" she says.
"Come on, get up Max it's time for breakfast !" Jinx screamed through the door.
"I'm coming" I say as I put on a shirt and climb of the bed. I look over to Johnny's bed and see that he's not there any more, neither is Rhyan. They must be at breakfast. I open the door of the room and notice that Jinx is not their anymore. The first thing on my mind is, where do I go. The castle was huge.

20 minutes later, I was lost, hungry, and tired. All of a sudden I see Destiny walk out of one of the rooms.
"Max !"she says
"What are you doing here, you should be down at breakfast !" She practically screams at me. My face turns bright red.
"I'm sorry, I um... got lost." I say kind of embarrassed. 2 minutes later we were at the breakfast table eating our faces of, we'll I was. Their was toast, it was buttered,and tasted delicious. Their were piles of donuts, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pancakes. Their were eggs, scrambled, or in an omlet. Their was a bunch of different jams for the toast, grape, apricot, blueberry, strawberry. I hadn't eaten anything in days so I took one of everything.

After breakfast I went into the study room where Jinx was watching T.V and Johnny was reading, which surprised me because I never thought that Johnny was the reading type.
"Max !" Jinx said
"I have something important to tell you."she said with a worried expression on her voice.
"Okay I'm listening." I say as I sit on the couch.
"Terence has been tracking us." she says in a hushed whisper. That's when it all makes sense to me. That's how he knew where we were.
"But how ?" I ask.
"I'm thinking he put something in our breakfast, I mean I don't know it could be something else I think..........." She starts rambling.
"I think he want us for out power's, but we never showed him..... It must have been Joan, but she would never do something like that." Jinx stops abruptly.
"Or would she."I finish. Joan had betrayed us, but why ? What had we ever done to her ?
