Chapter 20 (Jinx)

The first day at Destiny's castle was just terrible. I mean don't get me wrong, the place was wonderful, but I was so sleepy. After lunch I fell asleep for the rest of the day, I then woke up at 2:00 in the morning. lets just say the first day was terrible. But we've made some progress, we now know that Terence has been tracking us. And that he want's me and Max because of our powers. But we still didn't know how Terence was tracking us. I mean he hadn't given a anything, like clothes if accessories. So we were still confused.

"Hey Max, is Terence still out there ?" I ask.
"Yup, look like they've set up a camp." he said after looking up at the security cameras.
" How do we find out how he's tracking us, I mean we can't just ask him." I say.
"Oh, an x-Ray." Max said.
"But where are we going to get an X-Ray ?" I ask.
"I have one !" Destiny said, she had walked into the room holding a tray full of cookies. Sugar cookies.
"Wait, you have an X-Ray ?" I ask confused. Most people don't just have an X-Ray lying around.
"So, where is it ?" Max asked while getting a cooking of the tray and tossing it into his mouth.
"It's down in the basement, I don't use it often" Destiny exclaims.
"Let me show you where it is." she said walking out of the study. We follow.
" Just go straight down that hall, then open the 2nd door on the right, you we'll then see an elevator, take the elevator to the basement." she said pointing at the hallway we had to take.
"The basement is really deep in the ground, that's why we have and elevator, and remember there are no stairs, so if the elevator brakes, your doomed." she said.

When we reached the elevators I did a double take. The elevator was super old and rusty. It didn't look safe at all. What Destiny said to us rings in my ears." ....If the elevator brakes your doomed" . So Max and I get onto one of the elevators and start heading down. The elevator had only one button
"BASEMENT", which made me question how we were going to get back up.

You know how you have a feeling about something, well I had a feeling that this had been a bad idea. But I was wrong, we got to the basement safely, and we found the X-Ray. But on out way up the elevator cable brakes.

Now your probably wondering which button we hit to go back up, well when we got to the basement another button appeared " FIRST FLOOR. But when we were halfway up, the elevator abruptly stoped. So that's the story of how we were stuck in an elevator, with a 200 lb. X-Ray machine.
