AZALEA

*3 days later*

I walked in to Luca's room, placing down the basket of fruits that I bought in the table.

It's been 3 days after we rescued Luca but he was still unconscious.

Dr. Ville told me that they didn't just drugged him once, they drugged him a lot of times even after the first one and that his body is yet to get rid of it all which is the reason why he is still unconscious.

Thankfully, Nicholas and me got out of it with minimal injuries, and Violet who was shot at the leg is currently staying at the room next door being monitored by none other than the Greek baby boy.

I sat next to Luca's bed, holding one of his hands in mine.

I kissed the back of his palm and rested it on my cheek.

I blinked back tears that was threatening to fall as I stared at him.

Is this what Luca felt when I was the one on the death bed? Is this how scared he was, how hopeless he felt.

"Luca... " I called his name softly.

Giving up, I let my tears fall freely on my cheeks.

I sat there, staring at him and crying myself to bed next to him.

It wasn't until 2am in the morning when I felt his hand moved against mine.

My eyes snapped to his face and I almost gasp when I saw his beautiful olives staring back at me.

"Luca," I said his name, standing up from my chair before attempting to run out the door to call for a doctor but his hand held mine, stopping me before I could even get away.

"Althea," he called me, causing me to sit back down.

"Yes Luca, it's me, do you need anything? Are you in pain?" I asked him, holding his hands tightly.

He shook his head slowly before focusing his gaze back to me.

"Althea... About that time," he started, referring to our last fight before I left the estate.

I shook my head before placing a finger on his lips to stop him.

"I've forgiven you for a long time now Luca," I assured him.

A small smile started to form on his lips before he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

He opened his eyes again but he didn't say anything, he just stared at me and unconsciously, I did the same.

It was like a staring contest, only it wasn't a contest.

We were like communicating with our eyes and before I knew it I was already kissing him.

God I missed him! I missed him so much!

I felt sparks all around my body when our lips met and butterflies started fluttering in my stomach.

It was a short but meaningful kiss and when we separated, he cupped my face in his hands.

I rested my chin on his chest, keeping my eyes on his.

"I love you." he whispered in the dead of the night making my heart leap.

I smiled at him before closing the gap again for a peck.
