AZALEA

As I made my way into the confusing hallways, I managed to find the stairs that leads downstairs.

I tried to remember where the dinning was when Rosalie gave me a tour a while back and thankfully I did.

Before I entered the room, I saw whom I just assume as Luca since he's wearing a suit like the one last night only with a different color.

He's back is facing me so I wasn't able to see his face.

He was talking with... Rosalie?

They looked so serious as they talked, very professional even.

And when Rosalie caught a glimpse of me she nodded at Luca and smiled at me.

Luca then faced me with no expression in his face.

Rosalie then excused herself and entered the kitchen.

"Mia moglie," Luca was the first to talk when he reached me.

And I smiled at him offering a small "Hi,".

He pulled a chair for me before taking a seat in the head, I was seated at his right.

The table was long, it looked like it can accomodate at least 20 people but there is only 2 of us.

"How was your day?" I asked not wanting the air to be dead.

"Its fine," he answered not even bothering to look at me.

I cleared my throat, well that was awkward.

The chef then started bringing out food and placing them in front of us to eat.

I thanked the man who offered me a wine and he bowed his head before he started walking back towards the kitchen once again.

I called him out.

"Join us!" I offered and his eyes widened.

For a minute the room stayed silent, so quite I swear you can hear a pin drop.

The man looked at me then looked at Luca then back to me again.

I glanced at Luca then to see him already staring at me.

Why does it feel like I need to ask for his permission?

I cleared my throat once again.

"Well? Are you not going to invite them? I'm sure there is enough space for them to sit on," I said staring at Luca's olive greens.

He looked so lost for a minute before nodding, he looked at the man who served us and acknowledged him.

"Call the others and join us," he simply said before focusing his attention to his food.

The man just bowed and soon enough almost all of his workers are seated on the table.

Rosalie sat across from me, on Luca's left and the others found their way around the table.

We began eating.

It was awfully quiet.

Just the sound of utensils hitting the glass plate and I started to regret my decision.
