AZALEA

We reached home at exactly 7 in the evening.

The moment we arrived, all of Luca's workers that I got to know and hang out with the past 3 days were already waiting at the living room and the moment Rosalie and I entered they all stood up looking at me worriedly.

At that moment I swear my heart leaped.

They approached me one by one asking how I was feeling or if I needed anything at all, they told me that when I'm hurting somewhere I should alarm any of them so they could help me and all that.

I tried my hardest to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall the whole time.

Our get together came to a sudden halt when we heard the front door open, all eyes turned to the person who just walked in.

Luca Moretti.

He stopped dead in his tracks the moment he saw all of his employees staring at him.

He raised a brow and asked "What?" and that's all it took before all of them started running to their designated places to be and getting back to work.

I was left standing alone in the middle of the spacious living room just staring at him.

I held my bandaged wrist trying to cover it from his line of vision but I know all too well that he's probably already aware of it.

I mean, if the entirety of the household are already aware, I'm pretty sure the signore was one of the first to find out.

"What are you doing just standing there?" he asked me after a while and I looked up at him only to realize that he had already walked up to me.

He offered me his hand and for a moment I hesitated but took it anyway.

His hands were cold and calloused but they were comforting.

He tugged me as we walked up the stairs and into the Master's, he opened the door and allowed me to step in first.

Wow where is this all coming from?

He assisted me even on my way to the bed and the moment I sat down, he hurried to the closet.

When he came back out he handed me a night dress and turned his back away from me.

"What are you doing?" I asked him, confused of what he's trying to do.

He looked back at me very carefully like he was actually afraid of witnessing something.

"Get changed," he said but more like commanded.

"Excuse me? You do know I can use the bathroom right?" I laughed at him.

He turned to me and glared.

"I know that! But I'm not really confident letting you out of my sight all alone," he whispered and I almost didn't hear it.

"What?" I asked only to tease him but what he said next completely left me speechless.

"The last time I left you all alone I ended up finding you in a storage room unconscious, bleeding to your death, safe to say it wasn't a very beautiful sight to behold,  it was... Heart stopping scary," he whispered the last part like he was hesitant to say it out loud and I swear my cheeks flared.
