Chapter 1

Wow... this is going to be great! Too bad, Eda and King won't be with me. I skipped into the school with a wide grin on my face. Eda somehow got me into the school so I can train to be a powerful witch! Even though I'm not technically a witch I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to become one. With the help of my friends ill be a great witch!

I looked down at the paper which had my information, precisely the classes I go to at specific times, also, what locker belongs to me. Okay, Luz, time to find my locker to start the day. It says locker 398 but... the lockers don't have numbers on them. Hmm... I pondered to myself, staring at the lockers, they looked like live monsters, they have teeth and one eyeball. I examined the teeth and touched a tooth. How do you even use- BLEH, the locker's mouth opened by surprise and I backed up. Someone else's stuff came out of its mouth, laying on its tongue. This is fascinating, "wow, this is so cool."

"Hiya, Luz!" I looked to my right and spotted Willow and Gus, My two best friends! "Hey, guys!" Gus held his hand out for a high five, and I gladly gave him one. He was very cheerful and so was willow. "Class is about to start Luz, You should go find your locker." I laughed nervously and looked away, "That would be nice, but I can't find my locker at all, it says locker 398 but the lockers don't even have numbers." Willow Chuckled, "They do have numbers, silly, see?" She reached up and poked the eye of the locker monster. It opened and revealed a number. "Wow" I love this world. "Luz you know you can come to us if you need help with anything right?" I nodded, " Yeah I know, I would just hate to be a bother." Gus shook his head, "Having you here is gonna be the best thing that happened to this school, trust me."I smiled and the bell screamed.

Everyone rushed to class while I examined my paper to find out what my first class is. It said Advanced 101. There was no number just this name. Willow took a look at my paper, "Advanced 101?! Wow, Luz, I didn't expect you to be in that class, not that you can't do it but you're... human", I scratched the back of my neck, "Yeah, I mastered my second spell so I could be in class with Amity, hehe." The bell screamed again and Gus ran to class, "Uh.. gotta go!" Willow had a somewhat panicked look, " Advanced classes are that way" She pointed down a nearby hallway. "Good luck luz I'll see you at lunch." With that, she sped walked to her classroom, and left me alone.

I looked down at the paper one more time just to memorize the name of my first class. I then ran down the hallway Willie previously pointed to. Advances Arts... Advanced Nature... "Luz!" I looked away from the door and down the hallway where I heard my name. Amity was standing at the door, I read the sign and it said Advanced 101. I found my first class to train and be a real witch! I walked down to amity with a huge smile on my face. "Luz you were almost late! Come on before the teacher catches you. She took my arm and ran to a seat. I sat right next to her. I'm so happy, I'm grinning from ear to ear.

What I assume is the teacher walked into the room. She was older around the same age as Eda. I peered closer at the teacher and silently gasped, it was as low as a whisper. My new teacher was Eda's sister. "Hello class, My name is Ms. Clawyhorne", I glanced at Amity with a panicked look. She was completely focused on the teacher and didn't even notice I was there. I had to tell her about the teacher someway. I took out my notebook and quietly as possible, ripped out a piece of lined paper. I got out my lucky pen and wrote down, "Amity! The teacher is Eda's sister!" I folded it carefully and slid it on Amity's desk. She seemed surprised and somewhat confused. She looked at me probably wondering what this is and what to do with it. I mouthed "Open it". She looked back down at the note and slowly opened it. As she read it she kept a deadpanned expression.

She got out her pencil and wrote something down. She then closed the note and handed it back to me. She seemed so nonchalant about it. I opened the note and it said: "Why would that matter?" I thought to myself and began to write. "She might try to use me to get to her or something, she might even attack me who knows!" I quickly folded it back and handed it to her. She opened it and sighed. She wrote something down and handed it back without folding it. It read "Dont worry Luz, she wouldn't do that! Even if she wanted to, that would be kidnapping, so don't worry." I leaned back into my chair, I looked at the teacher and she looked back but she looked away. Maybe I shouldn't worry so much. I'm in an advanced class with Amity by side. I have friends, that I can actually be myself around!

I looked at Amity and to my surprise she looked back. I smiled at her and she smiled back. School is gonna be so much fun! After class, the bell rang and Amity stood by me, "Hey wanna eat lunch together?" I nodded, "I would love that". I got up and packed up all my stuff in my bag including my lucky pen. I picked up the note and looked at it for a bit. I then balled it up and threw it away.
