After the war Part 6

In the morning, with Lucy, Levy and the girls, Nashi wakes up feeling colder than normal and looks outside.

" What is it?" She wonders.

As she ponders the question Kore bursts into her room and asks "What is that white stuff outside?"

"I don't know. " replied Nashi

Levy enters Nashi's room and greets them "Hello girls!"

"Morning Mum" "Morning Aunt Levy " said the girls in unison.

Nashi asked " Do you know what the white stuff is?"

"Yes, that is snow" replied Levy

"Snow?"

"Yes" affirmed Levy

"Oooh" chorused the girls.

Lucy finds everyone in Nashi's room "Good morning everyone!" She said brightly.

"Good morning Lu" said Levy

"Morning Mum " said Nashi

"Morning Aunt Lucy " said Kore.

"What were you guys talking about?" Enquired Lucy.

Nashi answered "We were finding out what all that white stuff is outside. "

Kore added" and we found out that it is snow!"

"That's great!" Said Lucy as she realized that they hadn't seen it before as the last time the winter had been cold enough for it was when they were just toddlers.

Levy asked "How about after breakfast we take you girls to the park and you can play in it?"

Lucy agreed " I think that is a great idea since we both have the day off. What do you think girls?"

"YAY!" Cheered the girls.

Levy said " Okay, since that is settled, why don't we get dressed and head down to breakfast?"

M.C.

"Sure" as the girls scrambled to get ready then headed down to breakfast.

With Erza, Wendy, Carla, Grey, Happy and Natsu. "We are here " said Erza as the train pulled into the station.

Wendy looked out the window and the beauty of Clover hit her dragon slayer sick with motion brain "Wow" she said.

"I forgot how beautiful Clover is" said Carla. "I hope that you guys packed your snow gear as we will be outside in it for a while.

"Natsu groans "Unless you are me."

"Exactly!" Said Happy.

"Let's get going then " said Grey.

Everyone bundled off the train

Natsu and Wendy step off the train and collapse in a heap, faces resting thankfully on the platform. Natsu rests there a bit and smells a strange familiar smell. "Igneel!" He thinks " No it can't be ". He suddenly sits bolt upright completely alert, instantly forgetting his motion sickness.

The others in his group ask "What's wrong Natsu? It's just a simple job we have to do at the bakery. We can't see anything unusual. "

Natsu, ignoring them, inhales deeply. Yes, he definitely smells Igneel and traces of a steel dragon and 2 other smells he remembers but couldn't quite place yet. Natsu jumps up continuing to sniff the air and shouts "Igneel!" He runs off towards the smell of Igneel.

Ezra puzzled says "Igneel? That's not possible Natsu...." "Natsu, STOP! Where are you going? We have a job to do."

Natsu glances at Ezra, as he runs off "I'll catch up later! I have to investigate this smell."

Ezra sighed.

Happy started to follow Natsu and Erza said severely "Stop Happy, we can't have you not know where the bakery is either. You can look for where Natsu has run off to after we get to the bakery "

"Yes ma'am " said Happy as he looked after Natsu wistfully.

Wendy drags herself up off the ground and Erza, Grey, Wendy, Carla and Happy head off to the bakery to start the job there. Happy sat through the orientation of the job and then Erza allowed him to go in search of Natsu with the warning "If you have not found Natsu in an hour return here and finish the job then we will all go look".

Lucy, Levy, Nashi and Kore arrive at the park. Lucy and Levy sit on a park bench and watch the girls play. Nashi said to Kore "Snow is so much fun. Don't ya think?"

Kore giggled "Hehe yeah!"

Lucy and Levy start to chat. "Hey Lucy?"

"Yes Levy-Chan "

"Have you ever regretted leaving the guild?"

"Sometimes" replied Lucy "Why do you ask?"

"I just...maybe there was a chance that we could have raised the girls at Fairytail and their fathers accept them.

The girls stop playing and moved to make snow mountains. "Accept us?" said Kore

"That's what I heard too, maybe our fathers don't know about us" said Nashi

"Let's listen and find out more" suggested Kore.

Lucy continued, not noticing the girls swapping play style." Maybe but you heard what they said when we asked them."

"I know" said Levy " I know that they didn't want children but maybe if we had told them the truth there might have been a chance that they could have accepted them. If they knew that we were in that situation. "

"Maybe" mused Lucy " but we have already made our decision and we can't go back and change that
