.........................................................
I hate that all we can do is text. This is the worst! If there is going to be a virus that could take over the world, don't you think a girl would wanna be with her best friends?!"Brooke come down for dinner!" My mom yelled from the bottom of the steps. It was weird, it was almost like a worried tone was in her voice.
"Don't worry, I'm coming!" I exclaim from my room on the other end of the house.
"You good? You sound weird..."
Well thanks!" My mom scoffed in a laugh.
"That's- nevermind. What's for dinner?" I ask cutting myself off.
"Well, sit down..." She seemed even more worried than I thought.
"What is it..." I ask, panicked.
"So-" my mom started her presumably long rant but I stopped her.
"Wait! I need to text Amber."
......................................................................................
Me: Answer! Amber! It's important!Amber: I'm eating dinner, what's up?
Me: you know how my parents are totally splitting up but aren't saying anything about it?
Amber:.... Yah why do you ask?
Me: because i think they're about to tell me now!
Amber: ...
Amber: ...
Me: I gtg my moms telling me to get off, sorry!
Amber: good luck! Sorry sis :(
Me: Thanks, see yah! :(
........................................................."Huh?" I ask confusingly.
"Put down the phone..."
"Oh" I say dumbfounded.
"So, we have to stay on lockdown... we can't leave." My mother says with worry in her eyes.
"Well, mom, I already know that we can't go places and we have to 'social distance'." I put social distance in hand quotes because we all know that people aren't listening.
"Honey people are too afraid to bring food to our houses, too afraid to go out. It's not 'social distancing' its lockdown." Mocking my words, my mother's gaze went right through me to the cabinet of food.
"What does this mean?" I ask fearfully
My father walked in the garage door and they exchanged very odd glances.
"Mom?" I regretfully asked.
"Oh look! Your fathers here." My mom cut off the conversation very quickly to announce my dad walked in. There's definitely something wrong.
"Can I go upstairs... i need to do something..." I say suspiciously.
"No!" Both of my parents practically screamed at me.
"What is wrong with you two!" I snap at them, angrily.
"Nothing!" They both answered at the same time again and then went their separate ways in the kitchen.
What the heck? Why are they being so weird.
......................................................................................
8:02 pm
Me: Amber! I have to tell you something!Amber: what is it ö
Me: lol, anyway. My parents are being totally weird! My mom sat me down to tell me that we're going on lockdown and that people are going haywire over food but as soon as my dad walked in they got all weird. They totally have something wrong but I don't think it's relationship problems....its weird...
Amber: wanna figure it out?
Me: what are you saying 😏
Amber: Let's start up the investigation duo again! We can see what they're up to!
Me: OMG YES LET'S DO IT!! how are we supposed to meet up? Our parents would kill us!
Amber: we'll figure it out hehe ;)
Me: lollll ok, are you sure?
Amber: totally. I think I know a place 🤫😏
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡Oooooh! Do Amber and Brooke have a plan to secretly meet up?! I'm pretty sure that that's not allowed 😂
I really don't advise meeting with people during covid like my story is doing, it's just for the fictional aspect.
Check out chapter 4 coming soon with the plan to figure out what Brooke's parents are really doing.
Thanks so much for 65 views it means a lot to me <3
Have a great night and have a fun and safe quarantine!!
