7. Oh, thats too bad

(A/n) Wahhhhhh an upload barely a week apart?! Yeah quarantine's got me bored. My sleep schedule consist of me eating dinner for breakfast😂.

On my way there I still felt the familiar chakra nearby so I walked extra fast to Ichiraku. When I arrive I see Naruto sitting there waiting for me. I walk over and sit next to him. "Oh, hey Adri." He had the biggest smile on his face.

"Hello, sorry I'm late." I simply say. A man behind the counter walks up and softly slams his hand down. "So what would you two like?"

I instantly start sweating bullets. I can't do this type of confrontation! What if I sat something wrong or stutter? Why am I such an idiot?!

Naruto looks at me, waiting for me to answer but I just look at him in fear hoping he catches on. Aaaaand he doesn't.

I poke his shoulder before poking the name of the ramen he got me last time. He finally takes the hint. He gives me a weird look before ordering our ramen for us since I couldn't talk to the man. He then turned around and looked at me.

I just shrug shyly because I have no clue what's happening and I don't know what social cues are.

"So Adri, why didn't Sasuke want you to hang out with me?" I see the sad expression on his face. He thought I was gonna ditch him to hang out with Sasuke.

"Naru, Sasuke wants to protect me, I don't quite understand why. Also, don't worry I will never ditch you as long as you don't ditch me, I trust you." This is the first time I've ever told anyone this besides Iruka or Hinata. The words felt almost foreign coming out of my mouth.

He looks as though he was about to cry, he then pulls me into a tight hug.

"Awwww Adri, I promise I will protect you with my life ya' know?! And I promise to never give up!" I couldn't even respond because of how tight the hug was.

All I know Is that I'm blushing from him remembering my words about him never giving up. But I started to feel self-conscious because he was squeezing my body through my hoodie, so I slyly pulled out of the hug.

"Thank you, Naru." I barely breathe out.

"Awwww, y'all are such a cute couple!" A girl from behind the counter exclaims, giving us a closed-eyed smile while hugging herself from the 'cuteness'.

Both me and Naruto look at each other with blush across our faces.

"He/She is not my boyfriend/girlfriend!" We yell in unison.

"Oh, that's too bad." the girl looked disappointed.

"Yep, I like someone else!" Naruto announces.

Hinata? Question mark? Question mark?

"Yeah, I like someone else too!" I announce even louder.

"You do?" Naruto asks me a little surprised.

"Yep."

"Who is it?!"

"I can never tell," I immediately think of Neji. "Plus I don't think you know him." I say as a light pink scatters across my cheeks as I continue to think of the mysterious Hyuga.

I feel the familiar chakra finally leave my presence.

"Oh, come on! Your even blushing!" He yells in defeat.

I softly chuckle at his behavior.

Finally, our ramen came out, we both ate our ramen while having small talk and Naruto trying to get me to spill about my crush. I ate two bowls while Naruto ate six. I offered to pay for it but he insisted to pay because he invited me. He took out this adorable frog pouch and gave the man his money.

"Thank you, Naru." I look away shyly as I assumed he was walking me home. I felt the chakra nearby again.

He puts his hands behind his head and started walking confidently. "No problem Adri, you can always count on me, ya' know!" He said with a chuckle. I blushed and looked away.

When we arrived he waits until I enter my apartment before he leaves. I walked into my living room looking for the light switch before it flips on by itself. There in front of me stood an angry Sasuke, with his fingers on the switch.

"Why are you here!? How did you even get in?!" I question while pushing him to the side so I could sit on my couch.

"So what did you do today?" He asks calmly while sitting down right in front of me.

"What I do has literally nothing to do with you. Plus don't break into my apartment again." I warned as I take my shoes off.

I have a theory, so I close my eyes and focused to test it. And when I did I felt the chakra that was following me right in front of me.

"You should really hide your chakra next time you follow a sensory ninja."

He looked at me in shock."S-so you knew I was following? And you're a sensory?" I rolled my eyes at his stupidity. "Yeah, I just now recognized it because I sense the same chakra from you. And for you to have been my friend and to have not known bothers me."

He ponders for a second before snapping at me. "Wait who was the Hyuga boy?!" He yelled getting more irritated.

"Calm yours balls he's just a friend I guess." I said a little unsure of what to call Neji.

"That's not what the blushing and the flirting said." He smirked.

"Who was flirting though?! We're both weird and don't talk. And why does it matter to you?" He paused. Ha got him there.

"Also I would appreciate it if you didn't follow me around. Don't you have better stuff to do?" I continued.

"I'm sorry, but I need to know that you're safe. You're the last person I have left and I don't want to lose you too," He confessed in a very low, soft voice. "So that means no Hyuga, Naruto or anyone else for that matter." He finishes a little irritated.

"Wooow, thank you Sasuke but you don't need to worry about me, I can take care of myself. And I don't know why you're mad at me, you act like Naru or said Hyuga would hurt me. So I'll talk to you tomorrow when you're not being a bitch." He growled and left with a mumbled good night. Did he just fucking growl at me?

"Wait, Sasuke," He then turned around and looked at me."Naruto promised to protect me with his life ya' know? And the Hyuga took care of my head when I fell and she suspects that he likes me, but I doubt it. So you have nothing to worry about." He glared at me really hard and growled even louder this time before turning and heading home. I giggled then went and took a shower then went to bed.
