the yellow jacket :: penny
I'm kissing Luke Skywalker. Holy shit.
It's short because everyone is running up to congratulate him, but I'm still blown away and standing here speechless because Luke just kissed me.
There's a ceremony.
Leia wears a beautiful dress, and she finds one for me too.
"You look pretty," she smiles. Something Han hasn't ever told me, and something I haven't heard in years.
Leia and I stand at the front of the room, and Luke, Han, and Chewie march up to us, and I can't help but notice how good Luke look's in that yellow jacket. Han and Luke kneel before Leia as she places medals around their necks. Han winks at her, and Luke grins happily.
God, he's so cute.
After the ceremony, there's a party.
Luke's still wearing his yellow jacket, and I can't seem to focus on what everyone else is saying while he stands next to me. He isn't even trying, and he looks so good.
The entire night, girls come up and flirt with him. Of course, Luke rejects them all, and every single one stomps off mumbling about who they bet he's with. Most mumble something about Han.
After a while, the chatter around us seems to quiet down as the party dies and everyone leaves. And for the first time all night, it's just Han, Luke, Leia, and I. Well, technically, there are some other people in the room, but none of them feel the need to talk to us anymore.
After another small while, Leia decides she's feeling tired and slips off to bed, and Han heads to his room soon after. So now Luke and I are standing here alone. Something that seems to happen quite a bit lately.
He leans over to me. "You look nice," he grins. "You should wear dresses more often."
I laugh. "You're drunk, Skywalker."
His hand moves to my waist and his thumb runs over the fabric. "I like the dress...a lot, but then again, I like you in just about everything."
My mind starts to wander at Luke's comment. Tonight would probably be the perfect night for something to happen between the two of us. I mean, we're finally off the Falcon, so Han and everyone else isn't dangerously close. There isn't a deadly threat looming over our heads anymore, and he did kiss me in the main hanger, so now I know for sure this definitely isn't one-sided.
My hand begins to trail up Luke's arm slowly and it finds it's way to the back of his neck, as I ask, "What about nothing?"
His breath hitches and he nods quickly. "Yes, nothing is good too. Very good." The next thing I know, the two of us are running down the hallway to his room.
Nothing happens at first. We just stand there silently, me leaning against the closed door, and his hands gripping my hips. And then I can't take it anymore and I press my lips against his roughly, my hands finding their way to the back of his neck again to tug his hair slightly, causing him to melt into me, moaning softly into my mouth. He has to move his hands from my hips to the door to hold him up when both of my hands begin to run through his blond locks.
A knock on the door startles the both of us and we practically fall over as we back away from the door.
"W-who is it?" Luke asks, and I notice his lips are slightly swollen and his eyes are wider and darker than before.
"It's me," Han's voice says from behind the door, slightly annoyed.
"Could you...could you come back later?" Luke's hands grip my hips again as my lips make contact with his neck, finding his pulse point. "Please? Now's not exactly a good time..."
"Have you seen Penny?"
"Why?" Luke practically whines while I tug on his hair again.
"I need a cup of coffee and it's never as good when I make it. So have you?"
"No, no I haven't, maybe ask Leia, she'd definitely know."
"I already did, she hasn't seen her either...she's not in her room, could you help me find her?"
"I'm a little...little busy, Han!"
I hear Han groan from the other side of the door. "Fine! But when I find her, someone's not getting a cup of coffee."
We hear Han stomp off, and Luke moans into my hair, switching us around so that he's leaning against the door as I continue to kiss down his neck. But I pull him away to the door and push him down on his bed, running my fingers over the jacket.
He looks so good in it, I almost don't want to take it off. But before I can do anything, there's another knock on the door.
"Luke?" Leia's voice calls. "Are you in there?"
"What is it?" Luke squeaks.
"Han still can't find Penny and he won't leave me alone about it. Are you sure you haven't seen her?"
I break away from Luke and walk to the door, opening it the slightest bit to peek my head out. Leia's eyes grow wide when she sees me and realization dawns on her.
"I'll make him some coffee myself," she says, walking away quickly before I can even say anything to her.
I shut the door and turn back to look at Luke laying on the bed. And what a sight he is. Blond hair tousled, cheeks flushed pink, and hickeys beginning to form on his neck.
"You know," he begins, his voice hoarse, "I don't think they're gonna interrupt us anymore."
