12. Every good base needs a Throne Room

I created my throne room in the middle of the whole maze of tunnels and shaped it to look like a fairies castle, with a similar type feeling as my home with soft dirt for the floor. I'd made a thin underground creek to run through the throne room with a large flat stone in the middle where the path was to act as a natural bridge. Visitors only needed to hop onto the rock and hop to the other side.

I created small crevices on the ceiling, hidden from outside with Kishiko's barrier seals so I would have natural light before creating a garden of the prettiest flowers and herbs. My growth barrier allowed them to be full grown in their flowering states without anyone having to tend to them. Though I'd tossed my gardening manual to a Yamanaka and ordered her to look out for the grounds.

So in my peaceful place I allowed for visitors to see me one at a time as if I were king.

The reason for this farce?

It was quite simple. I had wanted a fantastical world of magic, fae, and beautiful creatures like dragons, and mermaids. I had had quite the imagination in my previous life and that part of me would most likely never leave.

Though I did find the closed in diamond tunnels with dim lighting to also be a comfort with my instincts of a snake. If only I had the mokuton to make tree's around the garden then the place would look complete.

"Orochimaru-sama, Jiraiya is at the entrance asking for your presence in the planning room." My Hyuuga servant informed me with a small bow at the foot of the steps leading to my throne. I slowly sat up and glanced at the pretty moon eyed girl with the beautiful seal on her forehead.

"Hmm, I suppose I have been playing around enough then." I said as I slowly stretched my limbs. I got up and walked down the steps before stopping beside the girl. She kept her eyes on my collar, giving me the perfect view of her seal.

It wasn't too difficult of a seal to remove if I so chose, but this girl had been adamant in keeping the seal on her forehead despite my offer for protection. I had not inquired further, if she wished to live her life a servant then who was I to intrude? She made for a very good servant after all.

She hardly bowed to me but I had never asked of anyone to do such a thing. I enjoyed the willing servants, the one that wanted to wait on me hand and foot with that dazed look in their eyes. The Hyuuga respected me that was for certain but she seemed to think of herself equal because of her status as a Hyuuga, despite being a branch member.

I liked that as well. She made for a good guard at my throne room entrance.

I patted the girls head warmly then moved on towards the door in my usual civilian pace. I could see Jiraiya at the archway with his arms crossed and a deep frown marring his features. He'd been so serious in the half year we'd been here and I was certain he'd be aging the fastest of the three of us.

I hoped for him to die and experience the peace of the other world before I revived him so he could liven up a little, but unfortunately the man was too powerful for that. Nearly everyone in our base had died once, with Tsunade doing half the killing in her medical ward.

Nagisa had been too sweet and never killed any of her patients, not that I found anything wrong with it. Everyone had their own morals and lives to live and it was none of my business, nor did I care why they made decisions.

Other people's lives were not important to me. Unless they were my loyal servants, then I'd make an effort to learn.

Since that was how the Fairy Queen had been in one of the old stories I'd read as a child in my past life. I was happy for the opportunity to exercise a trait I'd picked up from my other childhood.
