Part 27~ We are good

Hannah
When I opened my eyes my head hurt and I was laying in my bed. I tried to get used to the lightning in the room but it was too bright for me.

"Hannah, can you hear me?" I heard Anna's voice beside me and it sounded like she was a few meters away from me. "Mmh" I groaned "You have to drink this and eat this" I opened my eyes slightly and saw that she held a glass of water in one hand and her other hand she held a Twix-bar. I tried to sit up but everything around me spins around and I'm feeling dizzy and fell back on the bed again.

"No-no-no. You have to sit up darling" Anna said and wrapped her arms around my shoulders and helped me to sit up straight, with my back against the wall. "Here," she said and handed me the glass. "What happened?" I asked and took a big sip of the water "You fainted" a voice from the door said. I looked at the door and saw Liam leaning his shoulder against the wall with his arms crossed against his chest.

"I did?" I widened my eyes "Yes, and Liam here" Anna said and sat down beside me "Took you to your room" I raised one eyebrow at her, didn't believe her at all "Hey, I can be a good guy too you know" Liam chuckled "And when I saw him picking you up from the ground I ran up to him and followed him" Anna said placed her hand on my shoulder. I looked down at the half-empty glass in my hand and then I looked up at Liam "Thank you" he just shrugged and one of the corners of his mouth moved up. "I really have to go. The class starts at 5. But eat this now" she said and handed me the Twix-bar. I just nodded and took the chocolate from her hand and then she walked out of my room.

"You do t have to be here you know?" I almost murmured "I know. But I want to," he said and walked his way towards me and sat down beside me, and then it was silent.

"W-what happened with Jack?" I said a few minutes later "Don't worry I took care of him" I shoot him a serious glare "Don't look at me like that. I didn't beat him to death. He might break one rib or two. But then I told him to never come back or touch you again" he looked down at me and gave me a warm smile. "And after he walked away I saw you on the ground and I carried you here" I could feel him moving a little bit closer but I didn't have the energy to move aside, away from him. "W-why? Why did you help me in the first place? I could handle it by myself"

He just shook his head "I helped you because you were in trouble and because he could do horrible stuff to you. I saw him pushing you against the wall, holding your wrists in a tight grip. You literally yelled that he should've stopped but he didn't. And that shall not happen to anyone. Especially not you" he whispered the last part. He probably thought that I wouldn't hear, but I did.

"Can I see your wrists?" he asked and I shook my head 'no' "Can I just-" he said and grabbed my hands, pulling them towards him and took up my sleeves, and when I saw the big purple and dark blue bruise. I whined my eyes and quickly pulled away my hands from his grip. He looked up at me and I could see the sadness in his eyes "Hannah, this is not okay. He isn't good for you" "I know. And I broke up with him and that's why he came here to ask for another chance" he opened his mouth to say something, but before he could say a word I interrupted him "Just drop it okay. I don't want to talk about him right now"

"You not much for a listener aren't you?" He smirked and let out a chuckle "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion "Yeah, Anna told you to eat that Twix-bar, but you haven't even touched it yet" he pointed at the candy bar in my hand "Yeah, right" I tried to open it but my hands were too shaky. "Here let me help you," he said and tried to grab the Candybar "No I can do it by myself," I said and tried to open it, but I failed.
