Nicole POV

I planted my foot and took the shot. I watched it shore over the defenders head and over the goalies hands into the net.

With that game was over. We had won a again. The winning streak continues! This was our last regular season game before going to state in 2 weeks.

We line up and shake hands with the opposing team before continuing on to our bench to gather our things

"And she does it again, anything you want to say to your fans" Claire said wrapping an arm around my shoulder and holding her hand in front of my face like a microphone.

"Your a dork" I said laughing as I shoved her hand away

"Rude" she said faking being offended

Next thing I knew I felt someone on my back.

"Can I help you?" I asked Jamie, she is the only one that would jumps on my back

"No, but I've got news for you"

"And what is this news?" Claire asked

"She already broke the league record for most assist in one season" Jamie said with a big smile

"Congrats!" Claire said giving me a high five

"Thanks"

"You know, if you wanted to you could break the record for most goals in the season. You chose to go for the assist instead of the goal half of the time" Jamie said getting of my back to walk in between Claire and I.

"Everyone deserves a chance to score" I said with a smile smile.

"Your too nice" Jamie said

I looked up and saw Maria and Edward waiting in the car for me.

"See you guys"

"Good luck at camp" Claire replies

"Goodbye" Jamie said

I quickly walked to the car and hoped into the back seat without saying a word.

On the way back to house I reflected on the past few weeks. I moved into a new foster home a couple of days after returning to camp. It's not the worst I've been in. I learned fast that as long as I follow the rules and do as I'm told, nothing bad happens.

We got home and I followed the usually routine. Eat dinner, clean the dishes, then go to my room.

Once I'm in my room, they lock me in from the outside. Not gonna lie, I know it weird but I'm left alone while they do whatever they do. Sometimes they are loud and other times they are quiet, but I'm left alone.

With that I did my homework and went to bed thinking about what lays ahead tomorrow once I land in Texas and see the team.

——————————————————————————

I just got to the hotel after catching my ride from the airport to the hotel. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda nervous. I haven't spoke to anyone since I left right before the game.

Jill told me that she hasn't told the team that I was returning to this camp. She said everyone would will be happy to see but, I'm not to sure.

I'm also not ready for the questions. I've had time to come up with a story or an excuse, but I didn't.

I took a deep breath before I walked through the hotel doors into the lobby.
