     It was time.

It was the uttermost generic ride that everyone loved. It was time to ride The Superman. Classical teaser of a ride; going up and making you think it's gonna drop you before it finally does. It was considered, at least to me, a ride that people should visit at least once during their trip.

"Andrea," Damon whispered into my ear, which startled me and brought me out of my day dream. I looked over at him with bewilderment while  he gave a toothy smile. "It's about to be our turn. We didn't wait in line for forty-five minutes for nothing."

I nodded and followed in suit of him. I slipped off my shoes and placed them in the bin across the seats of the ride. I always had this strange idea that if I didn't clutch my shoes with my toes while on a ride without a floor then they'd fly away. I gazed down at my mismatched socks: one striped with gray and white and one green with white polka dots. I unknowingly smiled down at my feet.

"Andrea!" I knew who it was, so I turned on my heel and scurried to where Damon was saving a seat for me.

Once I strapped myself in I looked over and up at Damon with an excited smile. He looked down at me, biting his lip.  A worker came by and checked that we were securely seated and gave a low "have a nice ride".

Within a couple minutes we were shot straight up. Out of habit I curled my toes, thinking that my shoes we're still on until the cool air hit the bottom of my feet. I looked up and admired the view.

The ride would hove the first time around, this enabled the passengers to take in the sight of the park. The sky was bright and blue, still too early in the day for it to end. You could see the entire park from up here. You could see the 'Eiffel Tower' the park had which also gave a pleasant view of everything. You could see taller rides, little areas named after a theme given to it, even the entrance of the park was slightly visible.

"Wow," a soft voice mumbled beside me. I looked over in amusement as I saw Damon admiring the view. "I've actually never gone on this ride before, so this is incredible." He had another big grin on his face. I seemed to be around with people with nothing but grins, and I knew that I'd always need them with their smiles because that's what keeps my world in orbit.

"Okay! Well, I'm going to criticize how you never rode the Superman before, after we get off. Deal?" I gently shouted over the people yelling because of their rides.

Instead of answering me, Damon looked at me for the few seconds we had left. I noticed how he searched my face for something we both couldn't find, or didn't know I had, and how his eyebrows scrunched up. He opened his mouth but wavered. He closed it, then opened his mouth again; finding the right words to say.

"Andrea, I really li—" Damon didn't get to finish whatever he wanted to say because the fatal first drop of the ride came abruptly.

My first instinct was to grab Damon's hand as I let out a small squeak. I felt Damon squeeze my hand back as a response. I looked over at him and gave him a wide smile, laughing at this whole scenario.

Damon didn't let go of my hand until the ride ended.

Another thing that I would have laughed at before the universe made this possible: Damon O'Connell and I  were getting along. At an amusement park nonetheless. The universe seemed to be filled with surprises.

So, after riding a couple of crazy rides, we decided to ride the Batman, because everyone loves it. Now, I might be sounding like a total girl right now, but my love for roller coasters seem to express themselves.
