"Love" at first sight

Long after the reaping and saying goodbye to their families, the district allowed time for the tributes to spend time together. They were all put into this mini arena, in which they would be locked in for the day. Cato was talking with clove and they became rather close, but something happened. Another girl caught Cato's eye. Glimmer. He thought she was the prettiest thing he had ever seen. He was so focussed on her, it was like Clove wasn't even there. He stumbled as he walked over to her in a trance, she blushed and said, "Hello." He giggled. "You must be Glimmer. District One?" He asked with a big smile on his face. "Yep." She giggled. Anger flushed Clove's face as she watched her one true love, fall for someone he just met. She wanted him to know how she felt, but now she can't. "Now he's in love with her." She grumbled while stomping away. After a few hours, Cato was still talking to her, so Clove decided to take matters into her own hands. She yelled for Cato to speak with her immediately and he quickly walked from Glimmer to her. "Cato I was trying to tell you something earlier." She said nervously. He looked confused and asked, " What is it, Clove?" "Well, since we were little kids I've loved you. I have never been brave enough to tell you, but now I finally am." She looked slightly upset at his face but said, "Well?" Cato looked confused, he had just found the girl of his dreams and now there's another confessing her love for him. "Clove, I don't think this was the best time to tell me." He said awkwardly whilst turning away. She got scared and said "Cato no! Please give me just a minute to explain!" He refused and walked back over to Glimmer, and yet again, Cato was in a trance. That same day he asked Glimmer to be his girlfriend and of course, she accepted. Clove, on the other hand, would not accept this loss, she was determined to get Cato back. She wanted Cato for herself, and she was willing to fight.
