The next week and a half would be for training. Cato was still with Glimmer, and being the naive girl she was, she fell deeply in love with him. Even the slightest caress of his finger on her cheek gave her butterflies. Little did she know, Cato was planning to break her heart, but he needed Clove's help to do it. Meanwhile, Clove and Marvel were talking by the archery station. They could tell Katniss, the volunteer from district twelve, was eyeing it. Longing for it even. They wondered for a second about her, trying to figure out why she was so special and then began to speak about Glimmer and Cato again. "Marvel, you've known Glimmer for a long time right?" Said Clove, with a big grin on her face. He looked confused and said, "I guess you could say that, but why do you ask?" "Well, I heard you have a thing for her and I need help splitting her and Clove." She said. "Why Clove? They are so happy together." He said. Clove could tell he was biting his tongue. "Oh, don't pretend you aren't in love with her!" She almost yelled. "Okay, okay. I'll help, but you have to be quiet about it! Thy can't find out what we are doing." Marvel whispered. Clove watched as Glimmer and Cato ran into a separate room. They must have thought they were well hidden. Clove could see what they were doing. They were kissing, but something seemed off. She could tell Glimmer was happy, but the expression on Cato's face was astonishing. He wasn't happy at all. In fact, he seemed angry. After a few minutes Glimmer said something to Cato and walked away. Clove figured she had to go back to training. Cato saw Clove watching him and called her over to him. As she walked over to him he looked relieved, like a weight had been lifted off of him. He said to her, "Clove, I love you. I've made a mistake, I shouldn't be with Glimmer." Clove looked shocked and said, "I know, but that doesn't matter now and since Glimmer took you away from me in our last days, you will break her heart." She didn't tell him about them being the ones to kill her yet. She didn't know how, but at least the girl she would resent until death will be the one to die first. That really got her blood rushing.
