Nacole came to her teacher looking for someone to help her pass an exam. Little did she know, it would change her life.

I slammed my history book when I realized I'm never going to pass this exam. My mom is going to kill me. This is the last day I can ask Mr Aiden to tutor me before the big tests. I have to tell him I'm struggling before it's too late. I can't stand the disappointment on my mom's face. I walked to his desk. —
"Mr Aiden." I said, gloomy and anxious. "My grades are dropping and I can't learn this. I've studied so much in the last month and I don't remember any thing about this unit." Mr Aiden looked up with an almost blank stare, no emotion. "Nacole, I've known how hard it is for you to learn these types of things. Math is your strong suit. But lucky for you there's a student here that's looking for someone to tutor. He's gotten all A's in my class." ___
"Who?" I asked. I could really use a tutor. "Mattia." He replied. I glanced over at Mattia in the back of the room. We made eye contact that seemed to have lasted about 4 seconds. Mattia? He's a jock. My mind is blown to the fact that he makes all A's. "That mattia?" I asked and sort of nudged my shoulders in the direction he was sitting. "Yes. Is that okay?" Mr Aiden asked. "Yes actually. Anything counts. I just would have never guessed that mattia makes all A's." Mr Aiden chuckled. ___
The bell rang and interrupted the dead conversation I had drug on with mr Aiden. I made my way to my bag, shoved my chrome book and textbooks in, and went on to the lockers. Next stop, the cafeteria. I had to spill the tea to my best friends. ___
I shut my locker and turned around, stopped by a tall guy in the way. "Oops, excuse me." I said, not even looking up to see who it was. I got a few inches away before I heard a deep, sexy voice say "So what about the tutoring thing?" Yikes. It was Mattia. I turned around and replied "Yeah, about that." Mattia smirked and said "Tomorrow at 9:00. I'll text you my adress." His house? Great. ___
Mattia and I used to be close last semester. We drifted when he got girlfriend (they already broke up). I used to secretly like him, I just never had the balls to tell him. But that's over now. I don't even know what I seen in him. ___
I got to my lunch table. There sat my 3 best friends: Ari, Laden, and Katie. They're honestly the best friends you could ask for. Basically my human diary's. Ari is a mixed girl with long curly hair and hazel eyes; something about her humor just clicks with mine. We had always been closest out of our group. Laden is a Latino girl that has the prettiest brown eyes. Katie is a brunette white girl that has the prettiest tan. She is in an on and off relationship with Alejandro, second most popular jock, Mattia's best friend. (Besides Kairi.) Something about them makes me insecure. They're so pretty. I've always been insecure. ___
"So... guess what?" I said, sitting down beside Ari. All 3 of them said "what?" in sync. "So I finally told Mr Aiden about how I'm struggling and... he gave me a tutor." I spilled. "Well, whose your tutor?" Laden asked. "Mattia. And yes it's the jock." All three looked up in shock. "Yeah yeah, I know. Don't even say it." I said, not amused. We all laughed. ___
I turned around to look at him. He was joking with Kairi and Alejandro. I guess he felt me looking at him because he immediately turned around. He looked at me and winked, while smiling big. I could tell he wanted to be friends again. ___
The last hour of school was boring. When I got home, my mom stood in the kitchen smiling at me. I guess Mr Aiden bragged on me for asking for help and caring about my grades. I could tell that's why she was smiling. We had a conversation about how she was proud of me, etc. ___
That night while I was in the shower, all I could think about was having to go to Mattia's house. I dreaded it, it was most certainly going to be awkward . When I got out, I put a pair of Nike shorts and my comfy white hoodie on and got in my bed, my silky brown hair damp. I almost instantly fell asleep.
