I finally had enough as I glared across at flash.
"Will you just stop, okay?"

"Why what're you gonna do, go cry to mommy and daddy? Oh wait you can't."
He spit out with a smirk.

Tears started gathering in my eyes as I curl my hands into fists, shaking slightly.

"Say that again, try and fucking say that again"
I say with a slight shake in my voice.

"Mommy and daddy are dead sofie, get over it. You have nobody, nobody cares about you, nobody loves you.
How could they? You're disgusting.
He says slowly, drinking up my pain like wine.

I snap. I didn't mean to, it just happened, I know what he said was true but nobody talks to me like that.

I punch him square in the nose; throwing my body weight into it.
He falls backwards into some lockers grabbing his nose with a grunt.
I quickly realize what I've done and panic.

The tears that were gathering earlier started falling down my face.

"Don't fucking talk about my parents like that ever again, at least mine loved me before they died, you
unloveable piece of shit."
I grit through my teeth as I walk away before he can fully realize what happened.

As soon as I'm out of sight I dash for the front doors of the school, knowing flash he'll immediately tell a teacher, or rat me out to his parents which is almost worse.

You see, I'll explain a bit.
Eugene Thompson or as everyone knows him "flash" is a 6'2, well built, blue eye, blonde hair, perfect pretty boy, football star of midtown high school.

Everyone loves him, or his money; you can't really tell these days.
You see his family is rich, the family name Thompson drips riches.
His parents are special...
His mom's nice enough, it's his dad who's a little off putting.
His family never comes to his school events or football games, I kinda feel bad for the guy.

But back to the present.

I'm currently running through back alleys filled with trash and graffiti, it's disgusting, every step is followed by a splash of sludge, I don't want to know what it really is.

I turn a quick corner panting, I've stopped crying by now but wipe my face anyways I look at the sleeve of my sweater, disgusted to find it covered with sweat from my face.

I cringe looking away, I've finally reached my destination.
A park, forest park to be specific.
It's my favorite place to be when I need to calm down. It's filled with walking trails and it's just lovely.

This time of year it's a bit chilly outside, the trees look so pretty though I think smiling as I feel a leaf fall on my head, I grab it, it's a giant
Red/orange maple leaf.
I follow a trail through the park listening to all the remaining birds before they're gone.

I finally pop out on the other side of the park right by Delmars Deli, where I work. Mr.Delmar is kinda rude, I don't really like him, he makes these little comments that bother me so much but it's how I get paid so I can't really complain, or well, that's what Mr.Delmar said.

I usually work on weekends and sometimes after school if he needs extra help, but he lets me come in and work whenever I want to. (which is usually after I leave school during the day because of flash)

I open the door and I'm greeted by a chime and the smell of mustard.
I cringe inwardly at the smell, I hate mustard. The store is small but has millions of isles filled with freshly baked bread and canned goods, near the front of the store there's a cash register and a kitchen.

"So pretty girls back eh?"
I hear someone yell from the back of the kitchen.

"And ugly boys still here?"
I yell back with a smirk.

A tall lanky boy walks out wearing a nervous smile, draped in his flannel and white t-shirt.

"Hey Parker, aren't you supposed to be at school?"
I say confused while turning my head to the side.

"Yeah, uh, well May needed help with the rent this month and I already finished all my homework so I decided to come in and work."
He says while scratching his head slightly while his cheeks redin slightly in embarrassment.

"What about you? Aren't you supposed to be in geometry?"
He says with a slight smile.

"Yeah, well I got behind on rent again and I'm weeks ahead in homework anyways."
I lie between my teeth quickly.

We smile at each other, I walk behind the counter and grab my apron and get to work for the day.
