Lillian's P.O.V

"Isn't it obvious?" She asks. "She isn't speaking because she thinks you rejected her. And that always takes a toll on the mate. And since she wasn't speaking to you at the time it took its toll on her voice."

I'm confused. What does she mean by it taking a toll on me.

"Alright. How do we get her to start talking?" Xavier asks and grabs my hand and carcasses my hand with his thumb.

"May I talk to you outside, alpha?" The doctor asks. He nods. He gets up but I grab his hand and look up at him giving him a look that tells him not to leave me.

"It's alright baby. I'll be right back." He smiles and kisses my forehead and walks out of the room. I lay back and doze off.

Xavier's P.O.V.

I walk out of the room and go around the corner to were the doctor is. I smile at her.

"The only way to get her to start talking is to show her so much love that she'll have no doubts on your mate bond." She says. "Lillian seems to take a lot of things to heart. You should be careful on what you say to her."

"I know that. I didn't mean to say it but it slipped out." I say. I feel miserable that I can't hear her beautiful voice and her laugh.

"We all say things we don't mean to say. She was confused with the whole mate bond and thought you rejected her. When her subconscious tells her you didn't she'll start to talk. But until then you need to do whatever you can to make her feel loved." She says.

I smile and nod already hatching a plan to win back my mate.

I walk into the door to see Lillian asleep. I pick her up and take her to our room. I lay her down. And go to my office to do some work.

Lillian's P.O.V

I wake up in a bed. I look around and remember that I was at the pack doctor and fell asleep. Xavier must have picked me up and took me her. I yawn and stretch. Where's Xavier. He probably dropped you off and ran my conscious says. No I hope not. I think I'm feeling this mate bond thingy. Whenever he touches me I feel sparks. They are weird but feel so good.

I walk down the stairs and wonder around I come to a door labeled 'office'. I open it to see Xavier hunched over the desk writing. He doesn't look up when I enter.

"I'm not in the mood to talk. Go away." He says frustrated.

I stand perfectly still. He probably forgot that someone was still here. He turn around and grabs a file. I watch him as he works. I sit down slowly. So to not let him hear me. He turns back to the desk and starts writing. He stops and puts his hands over his eyes and sighs.

"I don't want to do this work. I would rather be with Lillian laying down in the bed." He says.

I'm shocked. He rejected me but then he wants to be with me. Maybe he's right and was teasing me. "No your to ugly to be with him" my conscious says agian. Why is my conscious so mean.

I think it's time for him to know I'm here. I stomp my foot on the ground. He jumps up and looks at me. I start laughing, his face was priceless! Oh my god. I'm hunched over clutching my stomach, I have tears running down my face. He comes behind me and picks me up and sits me down on the desk with him between my legs.

"Oh you think it's funny seeing me being scared?" He asks.

I nod my head. I imitate him jumping and his face and start laughing again at his scowl. He grabs my head and looks me in the eyes. He comes closer and kisses me a sweet slow kiss. It's starts getting heated and he's kissing me with a passion. He leaves my mouth and leaves a trail of kisses down to my mark. He kisses it. I moan.

He jerks away and smiles. "I made you make a noise!" He says excitedly. I nod in a sluggish way.

He leans me back down on the desk and climbs on top of me. And starts rubbing on me while sucking my neck. I moan some more. I feel a bulge in his pants and squeak. He laughs.

"Oh god I love you so much, Lillian." He states looking me in the eyes.

"I love you too, Xavier." I say. I take a double take wait I just said that and wait I just said something.

He's smiling and says "Took you long enough to not doubt that I love you."

"Oh shut up. Oh I'm so happy I can talk!!!" I say and do my little happy dance and jump up from the desk and trip and fall. He's laughing. I shoot him a glare. He comes closer and pecks me on the lips.

"Don't ever doubt my love for you ever again." He says. I smile and lean up and kiss his cheek.
