Why are you so grumpy?

Xavier and Jace get slightly confused at Maria and Lillian calling each other boo. And then they understand. Lillian says it's been a great day.

Xavier's P.O.V

Oh god she's so perfect. She's random and quirky and great. She acts like a little kid but when you insult her or her friends she gets so protective. I'm happy I meet her, err well I guess I'm happy I kidnapped her.

She makes friends with anyone. No one has yet to resist her charm. Well everyone who isn't a slur, cough cough Brittany. That girl has almost made me lose my beautiful mate two times. If she comes near me or Lillian I'll ripe her throat out and dance after I'm done.

Back to more important issues, my mate. She made friends with a turtle. She actually got a girl who barely said two words then someone to kiss my cheek and use my first name. Lillian is a miracle maker, she has such a big heart. And we can't forget her badass side. She's a delicate little feisty gorgeous girl.

"Stop staring at men it's making me nervous." I hear her beautiful melodic voice talking.

"I can't help it. You're so beautiful." I reply without thinking. She looks away and blushes and I just smile. Oh shit I'm taking her on a date today. Oh fuck what if she doesn't like what I have planned? What if it's not romantic enough?

I shake my head and try to clear my thoughts. An idea pops in my head and I smile. "Maria, can I speak with you privately for a few?"

Maria looks shocked and then nervously glances over at Jace. "Um....sure?" She asks with uncertainty ringing in her voice.

I motion for her to come with me to my office. She gives Jace a fleeting glance before she follows me.

We walk into the office I sit in my chair behind my desk. She sits in front of me and crosses her legs and then increases then crosses. I chuckle at her nervousness. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just need advice for my date with Lillian." I finally say after watching her.

Her faces breaks out in a smile. "Oh thank the Lord almighty. Yeah I'll help you." She says and grabs a pen and paper.

I start telling her my ideas and she nods now and again.

Lillian's P.O.V

Xavier asks to talk with the Maria privately. I frown hmmmm what's he up to? She gets really nervous and she gets up and walks away with Xavier. I smile at her.

When they leave it gets really quiet. I look over to Jace and he's looking down looking bored. I clear my throat and he jumps almost falling off the chair. I snort at him.

"Well since our mates are talking. Let's get to know one another." I say standing up and walking to the living room mentioning to him to follow before I walk in. He walks in and sits down next to me. I turn towards him and give him my full attention.

He doesn't say anything at first but I keep staring at him. He finally turns towards me. "What do you usually do?" He asks.

"If I were home I would be reading outside and listening to music. But, I don't have my books or even my kindle. You?" I say.

"I would read too." He says smiling.

"Yay! We have something in common!! Why are you always so grumpy towards me?" I ask catching him off guard.

"I'm not...not grumpy...grumpy towards you." He says fumbling over his words.

"Uh, yeah you are. Today has been the only day you've been nice. Other then that you are always grumpy towards me and then Maria comes in and you cover it up with a huge smile." I explain kinda hurt that he is grumpy.
