Class was over quickly. I ran over to Sasha as she gently swayed her hips while following Mina around the lunch tables, too hot for me to handle.
"Sasha! Did you have to get surgery? Is your wrist alright? Are you OK?" She turned to me. She had a smile that covered her whole face.
"Connie, I'm fine. Don't worry too much." She walked forward and pulled me in for a long, warm hug. God, I couldn't resist kissing her all over. I noticed the look on her face as we separated.
"Why the emphasis on 'too'?" She grabbed my hand and led me to the rest of our group.
"Listen up everyone, I have something to tell you all." The crowd continued to chatter before Sasha raised her voice.
"YO!" She lifted her hands in the air, still latched onto my right arm. "I, am talking right now." Sasha was a bit more enthusiastic about things. I brushed off the bad ideas I always seem to conjure up in my head.
"My family's house was visited by some... police officers yesterday. They weren't all that happy that neither Connie or I didn't dial 9-1-1." I didn't even think of calling the police.
"They had arrested Levi. He'll be in jail for a while." My body started to tense up. I was upset for Levi.
"Since Levi was 17, he is going to be thrown in jail." I covered my face with my hands. I hadn't paid any close attention to Sasha's right wrist, I took a quick glance. It was bandaged, meaning it wasn't broken. A fracture would've been the worst Levi could've done.
"Hopefully, I can bail him out." Everyone cupped their hands over their mouths.
"Sasha, are you crazy?! He could've killed you right where you laid!" I was angered by her response.
"But, he didn't, Connie. I forgive him one-hundred-percent. He isn't his normal self. He's mentally ill."
"At the risk of sounding rude, Sasha, I don't think he deserves pity for just being 'ill'." Ymir took hold of Sasha's left hand. "He hurt you. He deserves such a punishment."
"No, I won't let him rot in a dark, stone cell corner."
I grabbed hold of Sasha's shoulder, she lifted my hand and placed it on the table. "Sasha, don't make a stupid decision." The rest of the group nodded their heads in response to my opinion.
"I think I can speak for Marco on this one. We think he's a crazy man." Jean let his head fall into Marco's lap.
"Hey, PDA's! Get your head off of him!" The supervisor shouted from across the room. Jean quickly lifted his head up and onto the lunch table.
"Are you serious?" Marco tugged on Jean's arm. "Put you head back on my thighs, please." Jean smirked and let his head fall once more. Pulling Marco closer.
"Anyways, I know he's a bad person on the outside. But he is still the Levi we would play with on the playground during recess." We all did a double take on Sasha.
"We never 'played' with the fourth graders, we ran from them. Remember when Levi was tackled by Mikasa? It was because he tried to make Eren puke." Mina was on the verge of laughter.
"Sorry, sorry. I-I just remember that way too clearly... HA HA!" Her face was a light shade of purple before Ymir smacked her on the hand.
"OK, OK. I'm good."
"What do you mean? I remember him being the friendliest person." Now, I was on the verge of laughter. She must've been probed at the hospital.
"He tried to 'kidnap' everyone. Along with Hange, Petra, and Thomas." I was confused as to why Sasha didn't remember this.
"No, didn't they try to be apart of our clique?"
"Sasha, are you OK?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Tell me, what do you remember? Humor me." Ymir was questioning Sasha.
"Well, after I left for home school, I felt very alone. None you came to visit me for like, what, seven years?" Sasha rubbed her hands together.
"Hold it, we've been visiting you almost everyday for the past seven years." Ymir was right, Sasha must've had some type of brain damage after Levi had beaten her.
"Oh my god, I think I might just cry." Historia covered her face. "Sasha, I think you've had some serious memory ordeals."
"Don't make such great assumptions. I'm fine. I remember everything, trust me." I couldn't trust her anymore.
"Sasha, Ymir is right. Some of your memories might've been erased after you blacked out."
"I never fainted. I was awake the whole fight, kicking Levi's mental ass." She giggled.
"No, you were on the ground, bleeding. I had to break him for you."
"Don't lie to me, Connie. I can sense it."
"I'm not lying." The harder I tried, she wasn't convinced. "Trust me..." She jumped. Sasha stood still for a few minutes. No one looked at each other.
"Well, no... This can't be happening." She banged her fist on the lunch table, wiggling the empty trays of food. I wrapped my arms around her from behind. She placed her hands on mine.
"I'm so sorry." She shed a few tears, I quickly let go of her and wiped them off. "None of this is your fault. When the time comes, maybe your memory will too."
"I'm in a loop, it won't stop repeating."
Levi's POV
Let me out. I can't get out. I couldn't warn them. Something took me over. I'm so sorry Sasha."I-I'm sorry." I whispered to myself in my stiff bed. It was dark in my cell. I had no one to talk to.
"I'm here, thank god... Still talking to myself, alone." I was so disappointed in myself. I couldn't hold back the feelings I had contained for many years. Now, here I was. Laying on a stone hard bed with a thin white sheet to cover myself and a un-stuffed pillow to rest my head. I made bad decisions. I deserved this, everything I had done in the past, present, and future was for a reason. I was meant to end up here.
"Ackerman, wake up. Someone actually cares enough to waste so much money on you." I could hear the officer unlocking my cell door. I nearly jumped out of my bed. Dusting off my clothes, I slowly stepped out of the room.
"I thought you'd keep yourself a lot cleaner." I could recognize the voice. There was no denying.
"Levi-bro. I missed you..." She waited for me to embrace her.
"I missed you more."
-NOTE-
The only reason I put the little Levi bit in there was 1. I wanted to add Farlan and Isabel SO BADLY. and 2. because someone requested the Levi POV. :)))) Ok see you in chapter 11 guys!
