Love Between Two Worlds

Chapter 3 (Alyssa)

You go home in the car smiling to yourself. A warm feeling fills through your body as you remember the smile on the boy's face as you walked by. It wasn't just a regular smile, or at least you didn't think so.

He had the sweetest eyes and the warmest smile. You couldn't stop thinking about Tanner. He was the only name you could remember out of the band.

The girls chatter on as you continue to day dream of Tanner, the boy with dreamy eyes. You feel as if you're back at the concert, staring into his eyes. You shake your head and begin to talk to the other girls about the next concert.

When you get home, you plop onto the couch and begin to play with your bracelet.

"You look happy," Shannon says as she walks into the room.

"They're so amazing! You have to go to their next concert!" You suggest.

"I'd rather stay here, thank you." She says, cocking an eyebrow.

You sigh and sit in silence for a long time as Shannon sits down at the piano and starts to play it. She suddenly stops.

"I forgot to tell you. Dad said that we could go to Lagoon tomorrow because we were rained on last month." She says.

"Really? Yes!" You shout. You jump up and run to your room to get ready for bed. You look at the clock on the wall and notice that it's 8:30. An hour before you usually go to sleep. Oh, well. tomorrow's Saturday. If you end up staying up too late on your phone, you can just sleep in.

After brushing your teeth, you quickly climb into bed. You roll around a few times and sit up. You can't sleep! Tanner's still on your mind. You grab your headphones and turn on Netflix on your phone. You slide through the options until you reach Merlin and begin to watch it.

You wake up with your phone on your chest and your headphones dangling over the edge of your bed. Your head quickly rises up and your eyes shoot to see the time. 10:00 am. Wow.

"Alyssa, wake up!" Shannon yells as she pounds on your door. You yell back a groan and rest your head onto your pillow. While quickly getting dressed, you get a notification on your phone.

2 Facebook notifications: Tanner Myler sent you a friend request.
Ammon Tuimaualuga sent you a friend request. You accept Tanner's, but study the the other one. Who is that? You suddenly realize that he is the dark skinned boy from Beyond 5. You accept the request and continue to get ready to go to Lagoon.

When your dad drops you and Shannon off at the train station, he tells you the plan. You'll have to switch trains on the 4th stop. You buy the tickets and wait for the train to arrive. The whole time you're waiting, Shannon begins to whistle, but doesn't stop when you ask her to.

You punch her arm before you realize the train heading down the tracks. After it stops, you press the button and climb on with Shannon trailing behind you.

Waiting in the train wasn't so fun because Shannon wouldn't stop talking and would occasionally poke you in the arm or make you play a game. But finally, the fourth stop came and we climbed out of the train.

There were a bunch of other people around, but not too many. Then you saw a face looking right at you. You recognized this face, but didn't know who it was. He stares at you a little longer and then turns to his friends.

He suddenly disappears into the crowd when you realize, it was the boy with the high voice. Zeke? Max? Something along those lines. You shake the thought out of your head as the train arrives and people start to file in. Shannon quickly runs in before you, but then disappears.

"Shannon, wait!" You yell. No response. Great, you think.

You climb the first step and hear people groaning behind you. You quickly hop on the second step and someone shoves you from behind. Before you could even scream, someone caught you and held you in their arms.

It was a very comforting hold, as if it were a hug, but you quickly pull away and look at the face of the person who caught you. It was the tall, tan guy from Beyond 5.

"Are you okay?" He asks, gently grabbing your hand.

You pull away quickly and say, "yes." You then walk away to find Shannon. You look around to see the practically empty train. There were a few groups of people, but Shannon had managed to get the back seats, the ones you like best. The whole Beyond 5 group get together and they're all congratulating the tan boy except for Tanner. He just has a long, sad look in his eyes. He looks up at you and gives you a weak smile.
