All you can think about is Alyssa. Did that really just happen? She came to you. You look around at the cars passing by and you wonder what may have been going through her head when she was talking to you. She probably was dared. No one would ever choose you over Ammon. It was nice for her to notice you were missing from the group, though. You wonder what they're doing now.

They're probably riding roller coasters and having the time of their lives-not even noticing you are gone. As soon as the thought enters your head, a car pulls over to the side of the road next to you.

"Hey, do you need a ride?" A man asks. It's Ammon's dad. "I was about to go pick you guys up and I saw you already walking."

"Yes, please." You say, climbing into the passenger's seat. After driving for a while, Ammon's dad decides to start a conversation.

"So, why were you out walkin' by yourself?" He asks.

"Well, I left early because the guys left me out of something. But it's cool." You answer.

"I'm sorry. Ammon's sweet, but nothing will get in between him and the girl he likes." He says.

"How did you know?" You ask.

"Are you kidding? Alyssa's all he talks about now. He really likes her."

You look down.

But I really like her too...

You sigh and stare out the window, checking your phone every couple of minutes; hoping that the boys would call or at least text you. Hoping that somehow Alyssa found your number and texted you. That was a stupid thought. How could she ever find out your number?

Ammon's dad drives you the rest of the way home in silence. I bet they're still at the park... You look at your watch: 4 o'clock. You wonder what you would do when you get home, considering it's too early to sleep and to eat. After Ammon's dad drives you home, you thank him and he drives off. Probably to go pick the other guys up. You decide to not talk to them for the rest of the day. It's probably best.

Walking inside, you collapse onto the couch and crawl into a little ball. Alyssa will never like me... Oh, great. I guess the friendship between the boys and me will be destroyed after today. I shouldn't have left early. They'll be mad at me for sure.

You drift of into a deep sleep, not caring if you hadn't had dinner yet.

===___Dream___===

A large house surrounds you. All of the walls except for one is tan; the other red. A staircase climbs to your left and you turn around to see the front door along with sofas and a coffee table in the living room.

"Why do you have to be such a jerk?" Alyssa yells. But something was different about her. She seemed older; dark circles surrounded her eyes, obviously looking exhausted. You look at her with sympathy, but something completely different comes out of you mouth.

"Me the jerk? I wasn't the one who went behind my own spouse's back and kissed Ammon!" You yell back. The words that just came from your mouth surprise you, but for some reason you couldn't say anything. Only what the dream was controlling you to say.

"He was the one who kissed me!" She yells even louder. Tears began falling off of her cheeks, making your heart ache. A small sob causes you to look up the stairs. Someone at the top of the staircase, a little girl stands in her nightgown. Fear and sadness written all over her face, proven by the red around her eyes and sniffles that told she was crying.

"Sabrina, go back to bed." You order. She runs down the stairs and pulls all three of you into a hug.

"Mommy and Daddy, please don't fight." She says and starts to cry again. Alyssa looks at you with a look in her eyes; a look that tells you that she's sorry. You look away in anger. Why am I doing this? You fight the urge to separate from the hug, but you do anyway.

"I could never forgive you. Never in a million years." You say, backing away. You try to scream at yourself to stop this, but you continue to say nothing; staring at Alyssa with a hard, unforgiving expression.

"Tanner, please!" Alyssa begs. You grab the little girl-Sabrina-by the hand and don't say anything. The real you finally breaks free from being controlled by the dream, and you hug Alyssa; tighter than you've ever held anyone before.

"I love you." You say, crying.

===___End of Dream___===

You wake up with someone shaking. You refuse to open your eyes. "Why did you leave us?" TJ's voice asks worriedly. You rub your eyes and groan.

"What time is it?" You ask, sitting up and ignoring TJ's question.

"Five o'clock." Ammon answers.

"Ugh, really? Why didn't you let me sleep longer?" You ask.

"You didn't answer TJ's question." Says Patch.

"So what? I didn't think you guys would care." You say.

"Why wouldn't we care?" Asks Zac. You groan and lay back down.

"Maybe because you guys ditched me before I ditched you." You answer.

"Look, we're sorry. I saw Alyssa and took my chance. You know how much I like this girl." Ammon says.

"And you couldn't have waited for me? I know you like Alyssa, but it's pretty hard to get a girl you hardly know. Is having Alyssa as your girlfriend better than me? Did you ever think about how I would feel?" You ask all of them. They all look down at their feet, obviously feeling torn with guilt.

"I'm really sorry. It'll never happen again. I was being really dumb. I wasn't thinking. You have the right to be angry at me, and I have never felt so bad." He says.

"It's alright. I should've never made a big deal out of it. I'm sorry for leaving." You answer, sitting back up again.

They all smile at you and you smile back. "When's our next concert again?" You ask.

"Next Wednesday." Patch answers, walking over to the calendar and putting his finger on the date of the concert.

"We should practice." Zac says, and you all agree.

After practicing "Best Days", "I Think I'm in Love", and "Wish You Were Here", you all decide to take a break.

"Since we're only performing songs that we've practiced a lot, we should go to a movie or something." Ammon suggests.

"Sounds good to me." TJ answers.

"What time?" You ask.

"I think 7:30 would be good. There's a movie showing at the theater then." Patch answers, looking at his phone.

"Gives us plenty of time to eat dinner." You add. Everyone nods and looks at each other, shrugging their shoulders.

You all pull out everything to make sandwiches and each make one for yourselves. After eating the sandwiches and making jokes, you head over to the movies in your yellow truck. After parking, you get tickets and all head inside of theater. And of course, because of the luck you have, you see Alyssa walk out of the women's restroom.
