A Snoggletog Surprise Part 1

Set in RTTE after hiccstrid has begun but after the gang knows about it.

It was the day before Snoggletog and the gang was headed back to Berk. Stoick expected his son to be there and of course the rest of the gang was going to. Especially Astrid.

After so called "hiccstrid" became a thing, they were seldom apart. They would fly their dragons together every day. The way they flew together just expressed the way they felt about each other. Their flight was almost like a dance.

On this particular day as Astrid was packing she was in deep thought about this subject. Her dragon rumbled and nuzzled her. She could tell something was on her mind.

"Oh, it's okay Stormfly. I'm okay girl." She said as she folded a shirt and tucked it neatly in a saddlebag. She sighed heavily. What was use to do?

Out of nowhere she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. She whipped around and there was Hiccup. Her heart warmed at the sight of her seventeen year old boyfriend's sweet smile and tousled auburn hair.

"Hey Hiccup." She said gloomily.

"Astrid, babe, what's wrong?" Hiccup asked, putting an arm around her.

"Nothing's wrong!" Astrid said pulling away and getting back to her packing.

"Astrid, I know that look! There's something wrong. Astrid, if you can tell anyone, you can tell me." Hiccup said taking her by the shoulders.

Astrid sighed. "I'm just worried Hiccup. No one at Berk knows about, well, us. I'm scared, I don't know what they'll say, I don't know what they'll think."

"Oh, Astrid, I know what you feel. I'm a little scared too, but what I do know is that I love you, and I'm proud of it! I don't care what anyone thinks or what they'll say." Hiccup cupped her cheek and sweetly kissed her lips. "I love you Astrid Hofferson."

Astrid smiled. "I love you too Hiccup Haddock."

They kissed again for a very long time, pausing every so often for air.

"Ewwwwww!" They heard suddenly. They looked up to see the rest of the gang gaping at them. Snotlout was disgusted, the twins were completely grossed out, and Fishlegs was in a romantic trance.

"Heh heh!" Hiccup chuckled nervously. "Uh, guys what are you doing here?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"We weren't spying on you!" Tuffnut claimed throwing his hands up.

"Yeah we definitely weren't doing that!" Ruffnut backed up with a slight note of sarcasm.

"Yeah... Right." Said Hiccup.

"Yeah Hiccup, we were just minding our own business, until you guys had to start going gooey making out in front of us!" Said Snotlout.

"Umm, Hiccup, we were, um, just trying to tell you that, um, we're ready to uh head back to Berk now." Said Fishlegs nervously.

"Right, uhhhh, I was too. I was just checking to see that Astrid was." Said Hiccup.

"Oh, right, that's all you were doing! Riiiiiiight!" Said Snotlout.

Hiccup frowned.
