A/N: This chapter is a bit lazy, but I feel like I had  to get it out. Forgive the lack of creativity in this chapter. When I got back to edit this story, I will do my best to make this chapter better.

"Dewpaw!"

A small white head snapped their head to the pale ginger she-cat's voice. The apprentice's expression turned into innocence. Frustration swept through her pelt, her eyes narrowing.

"Stop staring at that twoleg nest, let's go!"

"Coming!"

As the apprentice bounded over, Sandsky couldn't understand why Squirrelstar gave Dewpaw to her.

He already had Flywhisker! Her fur bristled as she remembered Flywhisker's pained expression when Squirrelstar announced that the ThunderClan warrior's apprentice was now Sandsky's.

I am not fit to be a mentor! Sandsky's amber eyes shifted to Dewpaw. The absent-minded tom was now distracted by a moth, batting at the small insect with his black paw.

How can I train that? Sandsky had no clue how to mentor, no idea how she could get an apprentice to pay attention to her. She had thought about speaking to Squirrelstar or maybe Flywhisker, but Sandsky was not comfortable with them at all.

Since moving into ThunderClan, Sandsky experienced nothing but glares and whispers behind her back.

"Where are we heading?" Dewpaw's excited mew had Sandsky looking at him.

"Back to camp," Sandsky meowed.

A look of disappointment washed over the tom's face, and his ears drooped. Sandsky's heart squeezed at the sight.

As the two padded back to camp, Sandsky was lost in her thoughts. She just couldn't understand why she was in a situation like this. And since joining ThunderClan, she was out of place. The routine she made for herself in WindClan was now messed up. But she knew she wasn't the only cat who's life had been screwed up.

There was another Cross-Clanned cat that seemed to feel even more out of place than she felt. His name was Birchburr. He was a nervous thing and Sandsky had noticed that his shy demeanor made him a target of the ThunderClan. While she had her own issues, she hated that fact the ThunderClan seemed to pick on the poor tom.

Sighing, Sandsky's eyes shifted to the entrance of the camp. With Dewpaw at her side, they padded in to camp where Sandsky immediately felt eyes on her. Her fur stood on it's end, knowing full well that she was being watched and judged. As she let Dewpaw head towards the apprentice den, Sandsky felt horrible. The apprentice's tail was dragging behind him as he disappeared into the den.

I need to get over my fears. She thought as her amber gaze moved towards Flywhisker.

Slowly, the ginger she-cat nervously padded over to the striped she-cat. Flywhisker was speaking with Fernheart and Cinderberry when she noticed Sandsky. The she-cats eyes narrowed, fury appearing in those eyes. Beside the gray warrior, Fernheart let out a scoff, showing Sandsky that the other gray warrior didn't approve of her being near them.

Great StarClan. Sandsky's ears flattened, her eyes dropping to the ground. Be brave.

"Flywhisker," she spoke up, glancing at the she-cat, "I am sorry that Squirrelstar gave me Dewpaw as an apprentice..."

Flywhisker was silent, but Sandsky continued.

"I am coming to you because I don't know how to mentor-"

"Save it!" Fernheart hissed, her tail lashing, "If you weren't here, Flywhisker would still have her apprentice!"

Shame flared through her pelt, but the hurt that she felt from Fernheart snapping at her, Sandsky snapped back.

"I did not choose to be here!" Sandsky bared her teeth at Fernheart, claws flexing in anger."Would you willingly leave your clan?"

Fernheart snarled back but didn't say anything. Sandsky snorted as she stepped back. Her gaze landed on Flywhisker, though the gray she-cat's attention was on something else.

Sandsky's tail lashed and she stalked off, angry with everything.
