As I traveled through the watery nothingness I could see a world starting to form, it looked as un-like my world as could be. First off, the sky was a shade of blue so dark that almost seemed purple. And secondly, there was no ground. Just a giant hole that seemed to go on for ever. I was afraid that I would just keep falling for ever, but before I went into the hole, someone caught me.
"hello, welcome to Tal Camme," The person holding me said, "your new home."
I looked at them, but they were so covered up that I couldn't tell if they were male, female, or even human! "Where am I!" I asked them. "what is Tal Camme! Who are you!!!"
"I'm sorry, you would know it as The Empty, and we are the Tyron." The person explained.
"I'm sorry, WHAT?" I cried. "The Empty? Tyron? Are you expecting me to know what these things are!"
"I'm sorry, you're in shock, the chief will explain." So they brought me to their chief. With out telling me a thing. On the way there, they took off their helmet, to reveal the tired face of an older man. He looked at me strangely, as he carried me to the hole in the pit where the chief was.
When I got in there, I looked around and saw no one who looked like a chief, only a young girl standing by some elderly people.
"Can someone please tell me what this place is!" I yelled at the old folks. To my surprise, the it was girl spoke up.
"As Quelleb surely already told you, you are in the empty. Surely you have heard of that! Even the most uneducated of peasants has heard of The Empty." The girl said, looking at me oddly.
"Well... I'm not exactly from here." I told them. "You see, I sorta came from well, another world."
The girl and the old people their gathered together and spoke in hushed tones. I couldn't hear much, but I managed to pick out a few words. "What if she is— she — prophecy — don't tell —" said one "but — world — doomed — remember." Another added. "We must — only hope — fails — survive — we can — Amirah" the Girl, who I decided must be important, mentioned. Then She turned back to me and spoke. "Since you appear to know nothing about our world. We will share with you a little history. Many, many years ago, in the main land that we call Kalvaela, there was a war, a war between good and a most terrible evil. But unlike in fairy tales and storybooks, this was not a war where good triumphed over evil, the Xerey, cruel tyrants who sought to concur the world and make everyone slaves, defeated all of the Tyron, who only sought to make a peaceful world. We were banished to The Empty, a place so barren that they thought no one would ever be able to survive. And now, as punishment, they send people who dare to try and rebel to this place. Long have we lived here, barely surviving off of the small amounts of food we manage to grow. Among the people banished to this place were all the magicians and prophesiers. So, we have many prophesies. One of them, tells of a world jumper. A world jumper who will save us all.
It's pretty short, hopefully the future ones will be longer.
Btw, Zwei is German for 2.
Also, Tal Camme is Tyronese for outlands, Kalvaela means city of terrors (also in Tyronese)
Sorry for the weird hard-to-read/pronounce names. ;)
