According to the clock, I had been hiding in the closet for ten minutes before I heard the wailing sound of sirens, and shouting. I slowly stepped out of the closet, and looked out the window that was beside the door. I let out a sigh of relief when I realized the Wolf was handcuffed, and on the ground.

I stepped out of the house and into the front garden where the officers stood.

“Hello, you must be Poppy Ridding. I’m officer Hunts; we’ve arrested the Wolf who is on his way to a maximum-security cell. We also called your mother and grandmother to inform them that you’re safe.” Officer Hunts paused catching his breath. “Oh and if your wondering where your grandmother is she’s out at central park feeding squirrels, which is probably why she didn’t hear you enter her house.”

“Thank you officer Hunts. Also I was wondering if you could find me a ride home?” I asked hopefully. I really didn’t want to walk home by myself at the moment.

Officer Hunts smiled. “Certainly, I’ll get Officer Warner to drive you home.”

Officer Hunts pointed to the other officer’s car, and walked away to do some sort of police work. I walked over to the police car and hopped into the back seat.

About ten minutes into the drive I realized that we where not heading in the direction of my house, but the opposite.

“Umm I don’t mean to be rude or anything but I think my house is in the other direction.” I pointed out shyly.

“Why would I bring you home sweetie. There’s not a chance that I’m letting you escape again.” Sneered the officer.

I knew that voice, but it couldn’t be him. Officer Hunts said that he left for a high maximum-security jail cell. I looked in the rear view mirror, and saw the Wolf and his sickening smile.

I couldn’t escape him this time. There was nowhere to run and no one that would help me.

He drove the car into a nearby ally, stopped the car, and locked the car doors.

“Let me out.” I pleaded.

“Not a chance sweetie, you escaped me once, you’re not escaping me twice.” Said the Wolf.

He quickly pulled out a gun and aimed it at my head. “Bye, bye Poppy Ridding!” He sang, his face hard and expressionless. He pulled the trigger. BANG.
