"Jim! Look at this!" Bones said quietly to his captain. He didn't want to wake Spock who had fallen asleep while trying to mind meld and bring back Serenity's consciousness. The Doctor showed Jim the scans, and his eyes grew wide.
"You... You're kidding, right? I mean this has to be a joke. Right?" Jim stuttered. Bones shook his head.
"I'm afraid not Jim. Dealing with one hobgoblin is hard enough... "
"So when, are you going to tell him?" Jim asked his friend.
"I'm not sure... It would probably be best to let him, sleep for now. Serenity should wake up on her own in, a few hours, so... " Bones trailed off. Jim looked at him to finish. "Jim, she looks to be 6 months in!"
"OK and... "
"How did I miss that?! I should have seen it, how she became more territorial over the last few months! " Bones whispered.
"Well she is an anomaly. And none of us really thought of Spock, as one to have-"
"What are you two jabbering about? Wait... Where is Spock. Where am I?!"
"You're in the med bay in Starfleet Academy. Care to tell us why you never mentioned a 6 month old fetus growing inside you?"
"I'm sorry... A what?!" Serenity nearly shouted, waking up Spock in the process.
"I suppose I should tell you both now... Serenity- You're pregnant." Spock's head shot up instantly.
"Is she OK?" Spock asked.
"Funny you should mention that... You having a girl."
