In Puerto Rico, a natural disaster 'earthquake' has never been felt frequently nor in a large scale, although the island is surrounded by tectonic plates.

This night I was on my room working on homework, it was around 6:30. Suddenly, I felt dizzy so I just froze thinking I was going to faint, of course I didn't. My bookshelf started shaking slowly and I was a bit scared that it might fall on me, but it didn't.

- Earthquake. - My mom said in a high voice. This was the moments that I knew what was an earthquake. I was mixed with the emotions of nervousness and surprised and couldn't process well the happening.

We all went outside to check how everyone was. We could see the electrical cords moving side to side. One of my younger cousins was staying the weekend with us, he was form Cayey. He was a bit freaked out and very nervous, he wanted to go home. We all just stood outside for a while then we went back in and kept doing whatever we were doing.

Three younger cousins, my sister, my mom, two of my uncles and I were some of the family members that were there that day. This was the first time we had felt an earthquake in our lives. The earthquakes magnitude was 3.2, in Guánica city 44.5km away from us (Ponce) and we only felt a dizzy shake. This earthquake didn't do any damage, but it did put the whole island in a nervous state.
