"You're telling me you actually got married?" Jeno asked the younger boy as they sat at a table in the campuses large grounds. The tall boy shrugged, for his older friends to sigh and ask more questions.
"What were you thinking?" Jaemin asked him in his high pitched whining voice.
"Guys, I've been explaining it to you for the past week, it's not real. We both needed a place to live and there's a loan for newly weds, which was the only one we could make ourselves eligible for!" The youngest of the group said, tired of explaining.
"Weren't you living with Chenle?" "Yeah, but there's too many people living with him. I just needed alone time I guess?" He sighed.
The boys layed off for the remainder of the day and let the baby of the group breath.
Upon returning home, the boy saw the house completely empty and decided to take a shower while Jihyeon wasn't home.
Over the sound of the water, he didn't hear the door unlocking and the soft patter of Jihyeon's footsteps.
Finishing the warm bath, he stepped out, wrapping a white towel and stepping out of the oddly moist room.
That was when he heard something metallic fall to the floor. Turning his head towards the sound, he spotted a red Jihyeon with her hand over her eyes. "Go put on a shirt!" She waved her hand at him.
The tall boy flushed red out of mortification and scurried back into the bathroom like a rodent with a cat at its tail.
Covering his face and leaning on the counter, he groaned aloud, annoyed. "This is gonna be awkward," he whispered, slipping on proper clothing.
As he left the bathroom once again, this time clothed, he saw Jihyeon doing something on her phone while spooning cereal out of her green bowl.
"Let's pretend this never happened?" He pleaded her. She looked up, flaring her nostrils and nodding. "What happened?" "Exactly," he snapped his fingers.
"So.. " she began awkwardly after Jisung sat down.
"Mhm," he hummed back equal uneasy.
"How are we going to live together like this," she blinked slowly. "What do you mean?" he questioned her. "We can't be so awkward," she explained her statement. "Let's do something then?" he suggested.
"As if I hadn't already thought of that, Jisung," she mentally face palmed as a sudden lightbulb went of in her head.
"Let's go," she declared. "Where?" he asked, standing up as a reflex.
"There's a theme park that just opened. Let's go there!" she spoke quickly, excited.
Jisung felt his stomach churn, not the biggest fan of roller coaster and that, but kept quiet, going along with her plans.
The two slipped on their shoes, exiting their cool apartment. They scurried down the stairs, getting yelled at by the old lady who lived on the floor below them for causing a racket.
At first, Ms. Selina, an old foreign woman, seemed like the nicest granny ever, sending them cookies the day after they moved in. But as around two weeks passed by, she let out her true colours; she was as horrifying as the witch of the waste during the beginning of the film.
Jihyeon giggled to herself hearing the lady croak loudly, and Jisung chuckled aloud as well.
The pair grabbed a cab to the amusement park and reached their in a short 10 minutes.
"I'm so excited," she giddily said, bobbing her head around. Jisung scratched his ear, sheepishly laughing, not having the heart to tell her.
"Just be brave, Jisung. You're not 8, you're 18!" he mentally scolded himself.
"Can we have two adult passes, please?" Jihyeon said, standing beside the tall boy.
The lady in the booth nodded her head, handing the "couple," the passes. "Enjoy your date, kids!" she said, making both 'Ji's blush.
"Let's go," Jihyeon shook her head, as excited as a child in a candy store.
Jisung reluctantly trailed after the short girl, trying to calm down.
"Ooh!!! Let's go on that one!" She said, pointing towards the viking ship. "Oh, are you sure?" "Why, are you scared?" She teased, not aware of his fear.
"No! I just thought you'd be scared," he tried confidently, his competitiveness throwing away the fear.
"Are you tall enough for it?" "I'm a whole ass 163 cms, PLEASE, not all of us are lampposts," she said, holding up her hand and dramaticising the 'please.'
The two got into the line, which only had about 10 other people in it, seeing as it was 4:30 on a Tuesday.
"Suddenly, I'm scared," Jihyeon confessed in a low tone, as they sat down in the seat. "Hah! What did I sa-" he began, but began screaming hysterically as soon as the ride began to move.
Jihyeon burst into laughter, gripping the buckle with her surprisingly large hands. She slapped the taller boys fore arm, shaking with uncontrollable laughter as they stepped off.
"Stop," the sulky pole muttered. "Is the baby whining? Hmm?" she babbled in a cooing voice. "Shut up I'm older," he groaned at her.
She wiped the tears that had seeped onto her cheek, shaking her head.
"This is gonna be so much fun," she smirked mischievously, grabbing his hand and running to the next ride, ready to torment the boy.
