Samuel winced as the sun slowly crept over on his face. He groaned and opened his eyes and was shocked to see that he was not in his own room. He sat up and looked around, his half-asleep mind trying to process what was going on. Samuel rubbed his face trying to wake up and was surprised to find a post-it note stuck on his forehead.

Good morning, sleepyhead.

Help yourself out of the house once you're awake.

I'm in one of my earlier lectures and didn't want to bother you.

Samuel returned to his dorm and was greeted by his roommate, Mick.

"Did you have fun?" His roommate smirked.

"Excuse me?" Samuel looked over to him, confused.

"You know, doing it." He raised his eyebrows.

"I was not, as you say, doing it." Samuel rolled his eyes.

"Don't lie... you were out ALL night. Getting it with the ladies, eh?"

"I wasn't..."

"Oh. So you were getting it with the guys?"

"NO! Oh my gosh. I was just out with a friend."

"Girlfriend?"

"Shut up, Mick."

Samuel went into the bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror before frowning in disgust. He looked even more like a hobo than before. His hair was messy, beard growing unevenly, with a bruised on his face as a finishing touch. Samuel got into the shower to freshen up and look slightly presentable, taking the time to style his hair a bit and evening out some of his facial hair. He frowned at the bruise on his face, realising that there was nothing he could do about it, he would just have to look like a ruffian.

"Hey Samuel!" Mick yelled. "You're girlfriend's here."

"I don't have a girlfriend?" Samuel hollered back, pulling a sweater over his head.

"Hi." Virgo laughed, standing at the doorway.

"Oh hi, what are you doing here?" Samuel asked.

"To fix this." Virgo gestured at Samuel's face before lowering her voice. "Was that Mick back from Elementary School."

"Yeah, turns out he's my roommate but he has changed so much since then."

"Sweet." Virgo said as she pulled out a make-up pouch out of her bag.

"Makeup?"

"Yup. This is called concealer. It can help cover up your bruise." Virgo applied some to his face and spread it out with her finger.

"Thanks for thinking about me." Samuel rubbed the back of his head.

"No probl... Wait did you style your hair?" Virgo gasped.

"Yeah... I didn't want to look like a hobo." Samuel blushed.

"You'd be an incredibly good looking hobo." Virgo joked.

Samuel swallowed. Did she just call me good looking again?

"How did you even get this bruise on your face." Virgo asked.

"I was trying to catch a bank robber and he kicked me in the face." Samuel whispered.

Virgo paused for a second and looked directly in his eyes. "Are you serious? Don't you know how dangerous that is? Please tell me he didn't have a gun."

"He did but..." Samuel started.

Virgo's eyes widened and she grabbed Samuel by the shoulders and looked directly in his face. "What would happen if he shot you? You could've gotten either seriously injured or even..."

Samuel pulled her hands off his shoulders and looked back at her. "I'm fine now, no need to worry about it."

"Fine. Just try not to get killed again."

"No promises." Samuel laughed and Virgo rolled her eyes.

Several moments passed and Virgo stepped back. "Done."

She grabbed Samuel's face gently and turn him to look at the mirror. He looked at the face, surprised at how the bruise had nearly vanished. He reached up to touch the bruised area, wincing slightly.

"That's so trippy. It's as if the bruise is not even there." Samuel studied himself in the mirror.

"It's the power of makeup." Virgo smirked. "Take it to use until your bruise fades."

"Thanks." Samuel took the concealer from her.

"I gotta go now. See you!" Virgo smiled, leaving.

"See you!" Samuel waved.

As Virgo left, Mick turned to look at Samuel, "what did I say. Your girlfriend."
