Saturday had came fairly quickly and I had told Gabbie I would be there. She seems really nice and genuine, unlike Kay. I had about twenty minutes before me and Jonah had to leave. We, and by we I mean Gabbie and Daniel, decided it would be easier so I wouldn't get lost. I would also be driving us because I don't know Jonah enough to trust getting in a car with him. He was very understanding about it.
I slowly roll myself to the edge of my bed and sit up, contemplating in my mind if I should just give myself another five minutes or get up now. I decide to get up now because five will quickly turn to fifteen. I go to my closet and pick out some light-washed ripped jeans with a white v-neck t-shirt. I'll just go with some sandals so I don't ruin any sneakers with sand.
"I got dressed pretty quick" I thought to myself as I began to brush my teeth. It's not weird to not want stinky breath.
After that I fix my hair then give myself a look over in the full length mirror by my door.
"Not bad at all" I think to myself before laughing and grabbing my phone and wallet. I put my wallet in my small beach tote. A few seconds later there is a loud knock on the door.  I quickly walk out of my food after turning the light off and go to answer the door.
"Sorry for knocking so hard, I'm use to doing that with the guys" he says shyly when I opened the door.
"It's okay, ready to go" I asked. He nodded and stepped back so I could walk out. I locked the door behind me and lead the way to my car. We both got in and shivered because it was cold in my car. I don't understand why because it feels great outside today. I turn the car on and don't waste a second to turn the heat on.
"Okay before we even leave the driveway, music choice" I said while connecting my phone to the aux cord then handing it to Jonah.
"I like the way you think" he says as he goes to YouTube and begins to type something in.
I immediately recognized the song here by Alessia Cara. We both start singing the words as I pull out of the driveway.
The entire drive to the beach consists of me and Jonah singing, only pausing when he had to give me directions or in between songs.
When we get to the beach, we're laughing at ourselves for singing the gummy bear song before getting here. We were still laughing by the time we found the others
"Oh no did Jonah show you our sixth grade talent show video" Corbyn asked.
"No he did not but now I'm curious about that" I said after I calmed my laughter down.
"We were singing the gummy bear and our voices so weird" Jonah said. He had stopped laughing but was still smiling. Jonah sat next to Zach in the sand and I sat in between Gabbie and Daniel.
Daniel was playing a random melody on a guitar, Jonah and Zach were doing some weird handshake, Corbyn was rapidly typing on his phone, and jack was playing in the sand with Lavender while Gabbie recorded them.
"Jonah didn't say anything embarrassing about himself or us, right" Daniel asked as he moved closer to me.
"No he did not, your secrets are safe Daniel" I say with a small laugh.
"Just making sure. I don't trust them after the whole me being gay conversation" he said then quickly added "which I am not."
"You're trying really hard to make it clear you're not gay" I teased him.
"I'm not against them or anything like that, just didn't want there to be any confusion" he rushed out.
" I understand, don't worry."
After I said that, Corbyn quickly dropped his phone and ran to the small parking area off of the road for the beach.
"Well Christina must be here" Zach said, taking a small pause from his thumb war with Jonah. Those two seem like they get up to no good.
"Oh good, you get to meet her Jasmyn" Gabbie says then whispers "she's a lot nicer than Kay."
"When is she gonna meet Tate" Zach asked but mostly directed it to Jonah.
"Tate said she might be able to make it, so maybe tonight" Jonah said.
I see Corbyn walking back with a girl just a bit shorter than him. The only other thing I can see about her is her shoulder length brunette hair. It looks great on her though. When they finally reach us, she quickly sat in front of me and held her hand out.
"Hi I'm Christina and I accept any nicknames that aren't inappropriate" she says with excitement clear in her voice.
I shake her hand and say " I'm jasmyn and I don't usually do nicknames but I'll allow it if you want to give me one."
She looks at the boys and Gabbie then says "I like her already" then went and sat next to Corbyn.
Jack carefully stood up with lavender in his arms then said in a weird deep voice "let the bonfire begin."
