"If you love somebody.
Better tell them while they're here 'cause
They just may run away from you."

"Aunt Cass, we're home!" The girl throw opened the door to the café, startling a couple customers enjoying their pastries and drinks. The women basically dropped everything and ran to the girl, enclosing her with arms.
"Oh, ______ your back!" The women cried squeezing the girl, "Tadashi, come in here you!"

"... I'm sorry we haven't visited in a while."
"Hun, it's okay you've," The women paused for moment, trying to pick out the right words," been through plenty." The boy's brother came running down the stairs to join them at a table in the café a little while earlier. The boy gripped the girls and hand rubbed her ring finger, the left one, with the plastic, but meaningful ring. The group had spent the entire afternoon talking; it was now eight, a couple hours after closing.
"I'm going to grab more tea. Does anyone want more?" The girl offered, lifting up her tea cup and teapot. Everyone declined the offer and the girl went into the kitchen.
"Have you spoken to the police about everything yet?" The women said in a low voice, leaning forward.
"I plan to when she's ready." The boy took a long sip of his tea and set the cup carefully on its coaster. His brother stayed hushed watching the scene.
"It would help them so much though. She needs to speak up."
"I'm back. What did I miss?" She settled back into her seat. They quartet continued to socialize for a little longer, but the boy seemed uncomfortable.

"Bye, thank you so much for tea!" The girl waved, hand in hand with the boy. He set her helmet on her head, he tilted a bit. She giggled and clipped it on. The girl hopped on to the back of the cycle.
"It's late, I don't think we get have ice cream today. So, home?"
"But I've got this far outside, it's just a block away. Please?" She begged, holding on to him tight from the front.
"Fine, but, because I love you." The boy looked over his shoulder to the girl.
"Yay, ice cream!" The boy turned the corner and parked his cycle by the front. The door of the shop opened with a short ding. The girl took the boy's hand and led him to the selection. They ordered their cold treats and the girl passed by the small toy venting machine.
"I've got 25 cents and I'm going to buy you something." She held up the silver coin, she placed it inside the slot and turned the dial. A small parachute man tumbles out on to the girl's hand.
"For you." She beamed up at him," because, I love you. And thank you for all this." He nods and clutches the miniature toy.
"I- can I request something?" The girl nodded and mentioned him to continue. He takes her hand carefully.
"I think that we should talk to the police about what you saw a week ago. It's important that they know what happened."
"I don't want to, Tadashi."
"I know, but it would be really good for you and the other people."
"I can't."
"You can't hide, you've come out finally today from a week of being inside."
"Tadashi, I'm scared." Her hand tensed against the boy's own.
"Right, then it's okay. We can go later." The boy dragged the girl out of the shop. They clipped on helmets.

"Why are you always here Tadashi?"

"I'm really worried about you, and it's not because I'm crazy it's because I really love you. And the ring on your finger proves it; I don't know how much more I can tell you." He started his cycle's engine, but it only let out an exhausted cough.
"Looks like were walking." The girl gulped nervously, remembering what happened last time.
"Just don't leave my side this time." She intertwined her fingers with his and squeezed her eyes.
"I trust you." The boy pulled his motorbike (don't know what it's called) up, he let go of the girl's hand so he could have two to guide his cycle home. She hooked her arm around the opening and they started to walk.

"Do you remember anything about the shooter?"
"Sir, you cannot just barge in here and question her. She's been through a crash and-"
"Stop, please." The girl stared up at the nurse and the police officer," I told you three days ago. I don't remember what happened. You've got the wrong person." The nurse glared at the officer who bowed his head and left.
"I'm sorry dear."
"It's okay. I just don't understand what's happening." There's a knock on the door. The nurse rises from the side of the bed to open the door.
"________, you've got a visitor. His name is Tadashi, he's one of your classmates." The girl tried to sit up, but failed, forgetting that her legs could no longer support her.
"Hey, ________."
"Tadashi?" The girl tilted her head in wonder, which broke the boy's heart. He was warned about this, of her forgetting.
"I'm Tadashi Hamada, I- we used to be really good friends."
