Dragons, Knights and Buffoons

It was bright outside, birds chirping, the city was bustling... and three inklings we're running away from a terrifying dragon. The three inklings were a Mage named Bobble Hat, a Mercenary named Specs and a Rouge named Headphones. The three were an odd bunch to see together, a mage, rouge and mercenary all running from a dragon, screaming as they ran.
"Everyone run!" Headphones yelled as she picked up speed, grabbing Bobble and Specs' hands in hers and running. Bobble grabbed her hat that had nearly flown off her head. The townsfolk all ran inside buildings to hide from the dragon. Once the three got far enough away from the dragon, Specs and Headphones unsheathed their swords, pointing them towards the dragon. Bobble got down on one knee behind them and placed her hands on the ground and cast a healing spell which formed a blue bubble around them. Meanwhile outside the town, a group of royal knights were training in the woods, Army, Aloha, Mask and Skull. They all turned to face the direction of the screams and nodded, picking up their weapons and running towards the town. The four could smell smoke, most likely coming from a fire. As the four ran, they noticed a figure zoom past, a wizard, definitely. He wore a leather jacket under a long black cloak that concealed his face. His cloak blew in the wind as he zoomed past on his broomstick. The knights simply stared as this reckless wizard zoomed towards the town, blowing up the leaves behind him
"Hey! Wait!" Army yelled after the wizard. He turned back for a moment and Army was met with a pair of familiar eyes. No way, it couldn't be... that knight that resigned from his job only to go missing a few days later. Army turned to his team, Aloha shared the same look as Army. Skull snapped his fingers
"Let's keep moving team!" He yelled as they touched base into the town square. They knights looked out at three fledgling heroes that were up against the dragon. The wizard flew past the dragon, gaining his attention. The dragon took to the skies and followed the wizard with unbelievable speeds. Bobble looked in awe at the wizard, he bore a striking resemblance to the wizard that had trained her when she found herself in the temple at the base of the volcano. Headphones and Specs recognised him too, but not the same way Bobble did, they never personally met him, they only knew him from when they were on breaks and used to hang out at the blacksmiths with their friend who worked there, Goggles, the son of the owner, who recently went missing. They were snapped out of their trance when the knights ran in
"Is anyone hurt?" Aloha called out. The three all shook their heads
"Where did this dragon even come from?!" Army yelled as he pulled out his sword. Mask was just watching the wizard that still had the attention of the dragon, he shot spell after spell at the dragon before the dragon blew fire in his direction. The wizard cried out in pain from the fire burning his skin and his cloak caught alight, burning to dust and dissipating into the wind. Army stared at the wizard
"Rider?!" He yelled. Rider looked down at Army before the dragon swiped his claws at him. Rider fell off his broomstick, plummeting to the ground. Skull rushed over in an attempt to catch Rider before the lime-green inkling cast a spell, calling his broomstick over to him before soaring back into the air to continue to fight the dragon. The dragon was relatively small and had a dark blue hue, the colour reminiscent of Specs, Headphones, Bobble and their missing best friend, Goggles. Bobble muttered a spell before yelling
"SLEEP!" Bobble screamed. The dragon began to fall from the sky. All of the residents of the town looked outside their windows and cheered and cried out to the heroes the bested the dragon. There was a thud as the dragon hit the ground but... he didn't look like a dragon. He looked squid-like but he had scales all up his legs and forearms, as well as horns coming out of his forehead and a tail coming from his backside. His clothing looked very familiar to Specs, Bobble and Headphones. They looked like... what Goggles used to wear...
The dragon boy awoke in somewhere very familiar to him, it was Specs' room. The aforementioned Specs was inspecting something when he turned around in his desk chair to receive something giving to him by Bobble Hat
"Guys! He's awake!" Headphones yelled. Specs and Bobble turned to face him
"Goggles!" Bobble yelled as she hugged him tightly. Goggles gasped from the sudden hug but hugged back
"Goggles, what happened to you?" Specs asked the confused squid dragon
"I-I don't know... the last thing I remember was I was walking through the woods... now I'm here" he scratched his head, his tail wagging behind him as he sat up. Headphones passed Goggles a glass of water and some pickled plums, his favourite
"Thanks!" He said as he ate a plum, taking in the sour flavour. Bobble took one and tired it, she couldn't handle the sour. Headphones and Specs simply laughed at Bobble and Goggles being as childish as usual. Specs was about to say something when he was interrupted by a knock at the door
"I wonder who it is..." Headphones said softly. She followed Specs downstairs and stood next to him as he opened the door
"Hello, are you the merc that was fighting the dragon a few hours ago?" Specs recognised the Knight that was speaking. Specs nodded at Aloha when Skull spoke up from behind him
"Well, we noticed that you and your motley crew took the dragon with you and unfortunately, he is going to have to come with us"
"What?!" Headphones said in shock from behind Specs. Bobble Hat came downstairs with Goggles trailing behind, the two staying absolutely silent. Headphones turned around and saw the two. She made a facial expression that said 'get back upstairs' and the two obliged. Mask sighed as Skull gripped his sword
"Listen, he put a town on danger, he must be detained and taken to the king immediately" Army said, clearly getting annoyed at them. Headphones grabbed one of her daggers from her pocket but keeping it out of view of the soldiers, Specs grabbing the handle of the sword by his side. The sound of someone clearing their throat was heard from behind the knights, whom split to opposite sides of the doorway apon hearing the sound. Everyone stared at the man behind them, a tall squid with caramel skin, wearing all black and a large black cloak
"You! You're the wizard from before!" Aloha yelled with a smile
"What are you doing here, Rider?" Army said accusingly. Rider sighed
"I'm here to speak to Bobble. Is she home?" Rider asked Specs. Specs called out to Bobble and the girl ran down the staircase, Goggles following close behind again. Bobble stepped outside the door, holding Goggles's hand the whole time. The knights unsheathed their swords
"You there! Dragon!" Skull yelled. Goggles turned around, a look of pure horror on his face. In a flash of blue light, Goggles was in his dragon form again before he took to the skies. Rider stared wide-eyed as he whistled, his broomstick appearing in a flash. He quickly mounted it before it too, took to the skies. He followed closely behind Goggles. Mask turned to Skull and he nodded
"Mask, you are with me. Army, Aloha. Take these three back to the king, Mask and I will get those two"
"Wait-" Headphones yelled before getting knocked unconscious by Aloha
"No hard feelings~♪" Aloha said with a giggle before he and Army took out Specs. They were about to take Bobble Hat out when she summoned a shield to protect herself. Army and Aloha cracked at the shield until it shattered. Keeping the shield up caused Bobble to pass out, they didn't have to take her out, she did it to herself. Army and Aloha scooped the three up and waved as Mask and Skull took off into the forest
"C'mon Army, let's get these three to the king~♪"
