Chapter 1~ Pressure Unveiled

OUTLINE 1~
What is pressure?

We have quite a few meanings of the word pressure, lets take a look,
Pressure; attempts to make someone do something by threatening or making them believe that they should do it!
Pressure 2; Conditions in my life that make me feel worried because I have too much to do or think that I must do well.
Pressure 3; Conditions that cause something to change or fail.

And my personal favourite; The force or weight that is produced as a result of pressing against something.

Now lets relax and reason together, Pressure comes in so many forms than we can mention, people can be under pressure and not even know it! We now have a unitary understanding of the word pressure, although we may have different understandings of it.(smiles).
Lets get into the book now shall we?.

A SNEAKY FOX!
From this point on I will be making reference to some real life experiences, starting with mine.
What do I mean by the phrase "sneaky fox"? A fox is a very sly animal so is pressure, except pressure isnt an animal, lol, but it is ruthless, it creeps up on unsuspecting people, when they least expect it.
Now in my early years as a Music minister, I began to experience weird and stranges occurences in my life and ministry, i had just lost my father, and everything was going downhill for me, my whole life seemed like it had no meaning to God, I thought I had no value to God and decided to take a break from God,(Laughs)
And so the madness began, I fell prey to peer pressure, my first mistake! I started comparing my life with that of the people my age around me, my dad was no longer there to cater for my needs and wants, so I thought myself unto a pauper, and that was the peak of G-boys in the town, kids my age driving cars? Really? It was pure horror guy!
Lets not travel too deep, the thing is, i never noticed when pressure from friends crept in on me, and back then, I never knew why! Thats where the problem lies, WHY! We need to be concious of the situations happening around us and guard against falling into uneccessary pressure, often times than not, we let the situation change us! Lets take a look at yahwehs words concerning this...

Matthew 11:28-Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

You can not overcome pressure except by the peace of the lord which surpasseth all understanding, run to him in your moments of distress and confusion and he will clear up your mind speedily!
