Percy's p.o.v.

After Dumpydoor introduced himself and scrawny me, I looked at my mom for an explanation. My mom in turn looked at Dumpydoor I mean Dumbledore.

"Perseus", he began. " Just Percy please." I interrupted him. "Do you believe in magic?" He asked me slowly. I regarded him suspiciously. Why was he asking me that? "Um yeah I kinda do." I replied carefully. "Well then would you believe me if I told you that you're a wizard?" Yeah right and I'm Kronos' right hand man. "Excuse me?" I asked, slightly bewildered but not out rightly shocked. I have heard many other things before.

"You heard me Percy, as I said you are a wizard. Your mother here chose against attending Hogwarts so she is what one would call a squib." I stared at him blankly. "What did you just call her?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at the old man.

"I mean no disrespect Percy. Please here me out. Hogwarts is a school for witches and wizards and a squib is someone who hasn't completed their magical education." he explained. My head was swirling with all these new terms. So I said the smartest thing I could think of "Oh".

" You are the grandson of Lord Voldemort, the most evil dark wizard the wizarding world has ever seen." he continued. I looked at him like he was crazy. And when I finally realised that this wasn't some lame practical joke the Stolls were playing, I started yelling at no one in particular.

"Why don't the fates want to give me a break! I mean what did I ever do to them? Last year I defeated one evil grandpa only to be burdened with another annoying, trying-to-take-over-the-world-grandpa! I've had enough already for gods' sake just let me be! How many more wars do you want me to fight! Don't I have enough enemies already?!!"

When I was finally done, Harry and Dumbledore looked at me like I had lost my marbles. But I didn't care. I sat down hard on the sofa and sighed sadly with only one thought in my mind. Why me?

Harry's p.o.v

Wars? Enemies? Evil grandpa? Fates? What was this guy talking about? My mind was buzzing with a million questions. I looked at Dumbledore and saw that even he looked just about as clueless as me. Wow that's a first.

"Mr. Jackson, if you don't mind would you please elaborate on your sudden outburst?" He asked. Percy looked at us suspiciously for a second and then sighed.

"Fine. But what I'm about to tell the two of you is not going to leave this room. You must swear on the river Styx. Got it?" He said. Sticks? Why would anyone want to swear on a bundle of sticks in some river? Once again I looked at Dumbledore who only nodded. Some reassurance. "You have my word Percy. Harry and I swear on the Styx never to tell another person what you are about to disclose now. Isn't that right Harry?" Dumbledore said turning towards me. I nodded earnestly. I didn't know what this 'sticks' meant but it must have been serious because Percy's face lost some of its suspicion.

Percy's p.o.v

Even though I had only just met these people something told me that I could trust these two. Dumbledore was a lot like Chiron and by that I mean he was kinda cool for an old man.

I took a deep breath and began to tell my story right from the beginning when I was twelve. I told them about me defeating the fury, the Minotaur, my first quest, retrieving the lightning bolt, sailing across the sea of monsters, my fight with Polyphemus, the quest for Artemis, me bearing the Titan's curse, the battle of the labyrinth, the second Titan war, my fight with Hyperion and Kronos as well as the part where Luke sacrificed himself to save the world. My voice cracked with emotion when it came to that part. Then I started telling them about the next great prophecy, Hera's exchange programme and my quest to Alaska, my journey through Tartarus, my fight with Akhlys and the final war against Gaea.

When I was done, Harry was staring at me with an open mouth and Dumbledore looked mighty impressed. I inwardly smirked at their reaction.

Harry's p.o.v

Whoa. That was my first thought after hearing this guy's story. Percy had gone through so much more than me. Compared to his life, mine looked like a walk in the park. I immediately decided that this guy wasn't death eater material one bit. I began thinking about what I would have done had I been in his position. Like right now, in the eyes of the wizarding world, I was the 'chosen one.' What if I am not good enough? What if I'm a failure? What if Voldemort won and I was to blame? How many more would die for me? First my parents, then Cedric and most recently, my godfather Sirius. All this is too much for me right now and I was pretty sure that I was going to collapse under all the pressure.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Dumbledore ask Percy the question I had been suspecting ever since we got here: "Percy, would you like to join us this year at Hogwarts?"
