Percy's p.o.v

I just stared at Dumbledore for a good two minutes and began to think.

This Moldyvort guy was my grandfather and wanted to take over the world. Great, just great. Even though I barely knew these people I wanted to help because for some reason I felt I had to be a part of this.

"I accept your offer. I'll join you at Hogwarts for the year." Dumbledore smiled warmly at me with a twinkle in his eye.

"Wonderful" he said clapping his hands together."Hagrid will come and help you with your supplies next week and then you may stay at the burrow with the Weasleys. I'm sure Molly won't mind." He said.

"Who are the Weasleys?" I asked. " The Weasleys are one of the best wizarding families you can meet." Harry spoke up. There was a hint of pride in his voice. I nodded.

"I'll take your leave now Percy. Until next time Mrs. Blofis." said Dumbledore and with that he grabbed Harry's arm and both of them disappeared with a crack sound echoing through the living room.

"Well that was something." I told my mom after those two left. My mom nodded and went off to make some more those legendary blue chocolate chip cookies of hers.

I immediately went to my room and took out a drachma . "Oh Fleecy do me a solid and show me my wise girl at camp half blood." The mist shimmered to reveal Annabeth in the arena teaching the new campers Ancient Greek.

"Wise girl!" I half yelled. She turned around and when she saw me she smiled that special smile she always reserved for me. "Hey seaweed brain. What's up? " I began to tell her about all the events that had occurred today. When I was done she looked at me thoughtfully. So what else did Dumbledore say? "I'll tell you but first please promise not to yell at me." I said cause I was pretty sure she wouldn't take the news about me vanishing for a year well. She nodded.

"Dumbledore asked me if I wanted to join him at Hogwarts for a year and I accepted his offer cause I felt I had to be a part of this cause this is my grandfather we're talking about so if he's as evil as Harry says, I'm gonna do what it takes to bring him down. So on the first of September I'll be leaving for London." I waited nervously to see how she would react.

" I understand Percy. You feel responsible for this. That's your fatal flaw talking. I trust you and I know you will do what's right." she said. Her voice sounded sad but she understood that I had to do this. " Thanks wise girl and I love you." I said. " Love you too seaweed brain" she said and then waved her hand over the mist.

Over the next three days time flew by. I had already packed my bag to go to the Weasley residence. One morning when I was watching TV I heard the doorbell ring. I went to answer the door and saw a huge man standing at my doorstep. He was about 8 feet tall, hands as large as dustbin lids and he was wearing a moleskin cloak. He was really small for a giant but would've passed for a cyclops had he had only one eye.

"Hello there. Name's Rubeus Hagrid. Keeper o' keys and gamekeeper at Hogwarts." he said proudly.

"Uh hi. I'm Percy Jackson, son- . I'll be going to Hogwarts this year." I didn't want to reveal to anybody me true identity.

"Professor Dumbledore sir sent me to help you with your school supplies." I nodded in acknowledgment. " Where are we going?" I asked. " To Diagon Alley 'course." he said like it was obvious.

"How do we get there?" I asked. "We use floo powder." loo powder? I thought. But before I could ask any further questions he walked towards our fireplace. He put his hand into his pocket and fished out a pouch. He opened it, took out a handful of powder and gave it to me.

"Now I want you to step inside and say Diagon alley loud and clear. Got it?" I was confused but I did as he told me to. I said goodbye to my mom, grabbed my backpack and stepped into the fireplace. "Diagon alley" I yelled.

And the last thing I saw was my mom waving to me and Hagrid giving me a thumbs up before green flames engulfed me into the darkness.
