Any twelve year old child would spend their evening either at the park, or at home, because where else would a child be without their parents?

Well, luke and I, together, we aren't just any child...

"I'm actually pretty hungry, Luke. Shouldn't we order something?" I asked, brushing my knotted hair away from my face.

"I can give you these fruits my mum made me for school, I didn't eat them." Luke said.

"I mean, sure, but I want food, not fruits."

"But fruits are food?"

"Ugh, Luke. Just forget it... RACE YOU TO THE TOP OF THE SLIDE!"

Luke and I were sometimes sick of seeing our classmates everywhere we go, specifically Rena. Luke had a crush on her for a long time and finally confessed after a whole month of practicing what to say, and all she did was laugh in his face. It destroyed his self esteem, and confidence. It was so obvious how badly it had effected him. I hated Rena so much that year, that I suggested we spend our evening in the play area for children in this restaurant called 'Pizza land'.

I still sometimes go there, to grab a pizza and watch all these drooling toddlers run around.

Luke loved pizza land. We sometimes played with the kids, even though we were always the eldest there. Sometimes we sat in the playhouse alone. I remember once my hair was bothering me; always getting in my eye. So I taught Luke with the help of a limb-less doll how to braid my hair.

At the end of that year, I was alone, and I decided to go there myself, only to find Luke sitting in our spot with his new friend Alex.

I left before they could see me.

"Hey- Zoey?" Louis said softly.

"Sorry?"

"More tea?" He asked, looking at my empty teacup.

"I'm fine, thanks." I smiled.

Patricia was not in the room anymore, and I was starting to feel bored, and sweaty.

"Are you bored?"

"Why?"

"Do you want to build a puzzle?"

"Only if it's 1000 pieces." He laughed.

Five minutes later, we were drinking bottled water and building a 1000 piece puzzle on my dining table. Most of the time, we were just flipping puzzle pieces to show the right side.

"So, how was your school year?" Chase asked, placing a puzzle that matched with the rest.

"Tedious if I had to choose a word. I just liked to stay low. No drama. Just focus on my studies, and draw in my free time."

"Draw? You know how to draw?"

"Yeah... But, trust me, i'm not that good."
