I jumped off my skateboard as I approached the doors to the studio. Holding my skateboard under my arm, I walked inside to look for the others. I tried being quiet, unsure if any recording was going on in the moment. I eventually found dad and Eric in the office.

"Hey Park" Eric said as I entered the room.
"What's up E-Bass?" I asked as I put my bag and board down.
"Zach is in the lounge if you want to start practice" Dad said. I sat next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Can't I rest a moment? I just got back from school, and that wasn't fun" I whined. Dad smiled and leaned his head on top of mine.
"You can stay a few minutes, but we have to focus on writing" he said. I nodded and closed my eyes, listening to the two of them share ideas back and forth.

Once I started to get bored, I got up and walked out to see Zach. He sat on the couch tuning his guitar.
"Hey Parker!" He said.
"Hey Zach attack, I'm ready for practice if you are" I replied. Zach smiled and told me to grab my guitar. I started tuning as I walked back over to sit with him.

Zach helped me learn new chords today. I loved learning to play as much as I could. Yesterday I had drum lessons with Barry, and tomorrow I had piano lessons with Eric.
"You catch on quick" Zach said as we wrapped up for the day.
"You're just a good teacher" I said with a smile. Zach patted my back before I got up to put my guitar away. Dad and Eric walked in, dad holding my bag and skateboard in his hands.
"Ready to head home?" He asked. I nodded and grabbed my things from him.
"See you later guys. Thanks for the lessons Zach" I said as I walked out. Dad said his goodbyes to everyone before following me out the door.

I was first to dad's car so I put my things in the back seat.
"Want to drive?" Dad asked, holding the keys up. I smiled and took his keys before jumping into the driver seat. Dad got in after me as I started the engine. We took off onto the road, and I couldn't wait to get home.

Once we got home I went straight to my room to start my homework. The last thing I wanted to think of was school, but it had to get done. I sat at my desk and pulled papers out of my bag. The history homework wasn't so bad, but I struggled with biology. As I tried getting it done, dad walked into my room.
"Dinner will be ready soon" he said as he sat on my bed.
"Sounds good" I said, not looking up from my work.
"So how was school?" He asked. I knew he wouldn't go away without an answer.
"It was alright. Boring like usual. Got to talk to Daisy a little bit" I said.
"You two aren't fighting anymore" He asked, making me sigh.
"Dad, Daisy and I never fought. Her boyfriend just doesn't like me" I explained.
"Oh. Well I'm sure you'll get along soon" He stood up and put a hand on my shoulder a moment before walking out to finish dinner. I shook my head and got back to my work.

Dad called me into the kitchen just as I finished. Made me feel better knowing I was all done for tonight. I rushed downstairs and saw dad putting plates on the dining table. Spaghetti again. He wasn't the best cook, but he tried his best and I appreciated it. It was just nice getting to spend time with him. I missed him when he was away for tour and I had to stay home for school.

After dinner I helped dad clean up.
"Why don't we end today with a movie?" He asked. I liked that idea and walked into our living room. Dad made popcorn while I picked out a movie to watch. He joined me on the couch just as the movie started.
"Iron man again?" He asked with a smile.
"It's my favorite" I giggled. I leaned against dad as we watched the movie together. I really did enjoy moments like this
