*Brent's POV*After getting some work done I decided to check up on Parker. I felt bad getting mad about the water. I heard the sliding door open earlier, so he must be outside.
I headed to the backyard and walked out onto the patio. Parker wasn't around, but I was sure I didn't hear him come inside. I started towards the shed to see if he was in there, my body slowly filling with fear and anxiety. I hated the thought of something happening to my baby boy.
"Parker?" I called out as I entered the dark shed. Nothing. "Come on bud, this isn't funny" I poked around for a while before giving up and exiting back to the yard. As I stood there, shaking in panic, I noticed something odd. One of our chairs was up against the fence, a few feet away from the table it usually sat at.
I jogged over to the chair to check it out. Curious as to why it was there, I stepped up on it to peer over the fence. The dirt on the other side looked disturbed, as if someone fell there. Parker didn't jump the fence, did he? I didn't know if i should be scared or angry. All I knew for sure was I had to find my boy.
I rushed through the house and grabbed my keys. I ran out the front door and jumped into the car. Not even bothering with my seat belt, I started the engine and pulled out of the driveway.
I knew Parker could be at one of two places. He either went to the studio or to Daisy's house. I pulled out my phone, keeping my eyes on the road, and tried calling Parker. No answer. I called Eric next.
"Hey man, what's up?" He answered in a tired voice
"Eric! Did anyone enter the studio in the last hour?" I asked frantically
"I don't know, I'll check the cameras. Everything alright?"
"I can't find Parker"
"Shit man. Okay, just give me a minute" it felt like forever before he came back. "Sorry man, he's not there"
"Thanks Eric, I think I know where he is"
"Good luck" I hung up and tossed my phone onto the passenger seat. Luckily Eric told me right before I passed Daisy's street. I was so frustrated, I quickly turned onto the street and looked for the house.I was unsure at first which house Daisy lived in. Parker usually walked or drove himself over. Then I saw kids hanging outside of a house, laughing and drinking. If Parker is in there partying, he's going to be in more trouble then he thinks.
I pulled over in front of the house and turned the engine off. It looked like a Daisy's house, but it's been a while. I signaled over one of the teens.
"Do you know who lives here?" I asked.
"Why should you know?"
I sighed and got out of the car.
"Cause my son might be in there" I growled. "So who's throwing this party"
"Sorry sir. It David's party, but this is Daisy's house. I just go to school with them"
I felt bad scaring the kid, so I just thanked him and walked inside. The music was loud and kids stood around in every room. Some stared at me nervously. I should break this party up, but I had to find Parker first."Mr. Smith?" I turned around to see Daisy approach with a boy around her age. He must be David. "What are you doing here?"
I saw the fear in her eyes. I couldn't blame her, if I was her age I'd be scared to see a parent here.
"Can you tell me where Parker is?" Daisy pointed towards the backyard. I nodded as thanks and pushed my way through the crowd towards the back door.I found Parker out on the deck with another boy. Parker was leaning against the railing, one hand on the boy's arm and the other holding a drink. That's when I got real angry. As I watched them flirt back and forth, I decided enough was enough. Just before the kissed, I grabbed Parker's arm and pulled him away.
"What the fuck!" Parker yelled. He turned to face me, and the anger in his eyes turned to fear once he realized it was just me.
"Let's go" I growled while tugging him away from his friend. Parker looked back at the boy before willingly following me back inside.I pulled Parker into the kitchen and grabbed his cup.
"What were you drinking?" Parker jumped at sound of my voice.
"I don't know. It was from that bottle" he said with a shaky voice, pointing to a half empty bottle on the table. I picked it up and took a sniff. Where did these kids find whiskey?
"Daisy, get over here" I shouted through the music. Daisy and the boy from earlier appeared moments later. "Break this up now before I call your parents"
"Yes sir" daisy said quietly before heading into the living room and getting everyone's attention.
"Parker, let's go" I had to help him outside as he was starting to stumble. What was I going to do with this boy?I helped Parker into the car before getting in myself. By the time I sat down and put on my seatbelt, Parker was leaning his head against the window looking sick.
"What the fuck were you thinking?" I asked. Parker didn't even look at me. "I expect better from you. You've given me more hell these last two days then you have your whole life" Still nothing from him. I growled and started the car, blasting the music from the radio as we made our way home.Once we got home, I had to help Parker into the car and inside the house.
"Go to your room. I don't want to see you out of there until morning" I said sternly. Parker just nodded and slowly made his way up the stairs and down the hall. Looking at the time and seeing how late it was, I decided to get some rest as well. I headed up to my room and walked over to my dresser. I removed my shirt and jeans, then put some sweatpants on. I then walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth. As i brushed, I stared back at my reflection and got lost in thought. What happened to my angel?
