Secrets and Regrets
I walk this road alone
people offer company I deny
all the same, bland view of lie
missing the one thing, one person who could change it
bringing color to my life
with just a simple smile
gone now out of reach
leaving me abandoned on the side streets
what to do now, what can I do
on the road I walk souly alone
I continue forward
and don't look back
because I can't change where I've been and done
only where I'm going and what's to come
images flood me of happier times
and I remember, but that's ok
because remembering
is the only way to escape the walls that surround me
