Natsu and Lucy

After Lucy and Wendy picked up Shelia, they headed to the arcade. It was huge, with almost a thousand games! After they played a bunch of them and won coins, they went to the arcade shop to spend them. Wendy got a stuffed animal, and Shelia got a toy dragon, though both girls decided to switch since Shelia loved stuffed animals and Wendy loved dragons. Lucy decided to get some candy for the sleepover. They stopped at the apartment that Wendy and Shelia shared so they could gather some snacks and their sleeping bags, and then they headed to Lucy's apartment.

It was five o'clock when they got there. Lucy cleaned up a little bit, then the three  girls went to Fairy Hills to pick up the others. When they got there, Cana, Lisana, Levy, Evergreen, Mira, Erza, and Juvia were waiting with their sleeping bags. Erza was also carrying two suitcases, and Juvia was wearing a fancy dress, which Lucy assumed was for dinner tonight. She herself had put on a nice pink dress and had done her hair.

All ten girls went back to Lucy's apartment and arranged their sleeping bags. Lucy made them dinner, and asked Mira and Wendy to make sure the other girls didn't break anything while she and Juvia were gone. At 5:45, Lucy and Juvia left to meet Natsu and Gray. They got to the restaurant a little early, so they waited outside for the boys.

Natsu and Gray arrived exactly five minutes late. Gray offered Juvia his arm as they walked inside, but Lucy and Natsu just walked next to each other. When they got inside, almost every table was full. Lucy spotted several Blue Pegasus High students that she recognized from magazines. There was Eve, Hibiki, and Ren, the three best Blue Pegasus High students. Lucy couldn't believe she was actually seeing them in person! A waitress came over and told them to sit at any free table. The four of them walked over to an empty table and sat down. Their waitress came over and took their order. While they waited for their food, Natsu asked Lucy to take a walk with him. She did. Natsu brought her to the base of a large tree. They both sat down.

"What's this about, Natsu?" Lucy asked.

Natsu looked her straight in the eyes. Lucy was getting a little nervous.

"Lucy, I want you to be my girlfriend."

Lucy froze, not sure if she had heard him correctly.

"You want... me... to be your... girlfriend?" Lucy asked.

Natsu nodded. That's when Lucy noticed it... he was blushing.

"I... I think I want you to be my boyfriend." Lucy said softly, looking away. Lucy had never had very much luck with boys, and she certainly had never thought that this was how she would get a boyfriend.

Natsu grinned. Lucy smiled back.

"Well, I guess this is our first date, then?" Natsu asked, still smiling.

Lucy nodded. "Yeah."

Still holding each other's hands, they went back to the restaurant. Of course, the first thing that Juvia and Gray noticed when they got back to their table was their hands. Juvia congratulates Lucy, and Gray teased Natsu. After dinner, Lucy promised to meet Natsu in the courtyard after school tomorrow. Then Lucy went back to her apartment, still smiling.

Though that was before she remembered that there were a bunch of other girls waiting for her!
