After School

The next day at school, two new cats walked in. Or, at least one cat and a frog did. Though now that Lucy thought about it, she was pretty sure it was a cat in a frog costume. They said that their names were Sir Lector and Miss Frosch. Sir Lector would say that 5 times 6 equals 30, and Miss Frosch would just say "I think so too!". It was a long day, and very boring. A man named Elfman fell asleep, and was sleep talking about being a "real man". Cana read tarot cards the whole day, and Lisana and Wendy were playing the longest game of rock-paper-scissor in the world. Romeo had to keep shaking Wakaba and Mocao awake, and through it all, the two cats just kept on teaching. The only person that was really paying attention was Lucy, and she was only paying attention to how cute Miss Frosch was.

After school, Wendy came up to Lucy in the front courtyard of Fairy High.

"Hey Lucy!" She said. "Me and Shelia from Lamia Scale High are going to the arcade down the street after school today. Want to come?"

Then Cana came up to Lucy. "Lucy! Want to have a sleepover with me, Levy, and Lisana tonight? Wendy, you and Shelia can come, too."

"Sure, how about I go to the arcade with Wendy and Shelia and then we'll come have a sleepover with you girls. Where will it be?"

"I was thinking at your place, Lucy. If that's okay."

"Uh... yeah, I guess. How about I come meet you at Fairy Hills and then we can go to my place for the sleepover."

"Sounds awesome! I'll see if Evergreen and Erza and Mira want to join us."

Lucy sighed. She could already tell it was going to be a long night. She and Wendy were about to head to the arcade when Natsu ran over.

"Hey, Luce," he started.

"'Luce'?" Lucy asked.

Natsu grinned. "Yeah, it's your new nickname. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to come get some dinner tonight with me and Gray and Juvia."

"Ummm..." Lucy wasn't sure how to answer. "Can I talk to Wendy for a moment?"

"Sure." Natsu said. But he didn't move.

"I mean, like, alone."

"Oh! Yeah, I guess." Natsu walked off down the sidewalk a little ways to a bridge over a small river.

"So, Wendy, what do you think I should do?"

Wendy grinned. "Lucy, I think you should come with me and Shelia to the arcade, then bring the other girls to your place, and I'll make sure they don't mess up your apartment while you go get dinner with Natsu."

"That's a great idea, Wendy! Thanks!"

"No prob!" Wendy said, laughing. "Now go tell Natsu."

Lucy took a deep breath and walked over to him.

"I can come to dinner tonight. Where and at what time?" Lucy asked.

"At the Blue Pegasus restaurant at six."

"Cool. I'll be there!" Lucy smiled.

Natsu grinned back at her. "Sounds like fun. I'll see you later!" And with that Natsu ran off.

Lucy walked back over to Wendy, and they headed to Lamia Scale High to pick up Shelia.
