All 24 of them, including the two kids, slowly stepped out of the storm shelter. Telly was so relieved that nobody was injured.
Not one of them was excited to go out though because they know the awful scene that's gonna greet them.
Hotel de Lavi sits atop of a hill. So from where they were standing close to the shelter door, which was beside the West wing of the hotel, they could see the houses and other establishments past the uprooted bushes that lined up their main entrance. It looked like the community was attacked by a thousand giant vicious wolves!
An ambulance drove past them, and from a distance they could hear a police car driving around.
Telly was devastated as the whole scene unraveled before her eyes. All the houses and commercial buildings around them were destroyed!
Maybe her house was eaten up too! But at this time, it didn't matter. 'These people have families, and where would they stay now? And the homeless? Lord, I hope nobody was hurt.'
And how about her hotel? And the big loss in revenue? My staff, how am I gonna pay them while repairing all these?
'I'm sure the roof was engulfed by the tornado!' she thought negatively. 'Maybe Daddy, it's time to close this. I think the fire and this tornado is telling me that I can't manage this place-'
"Ms. T-E-L-L-Y!" Raul shouted! He was about thirty meters away from them towards the main entrance. He was facing them and facing the whole hotel. "Come here!"
Raul was motioning for her to quickly come to where he was, and the others followed.
Telly braced herself for the worst! She knew it would be very bad!
As they reached Raul's positon, they turned around... and their mouths dropped open!
There it was, Hotel de Lavi, standing in the midst of rubbles and debris, seemingly unscathed! Unscathed!!!
"Holy cow!" Victor gasped! Immediately he kept snapping pictures of the scenes surrounding him.
"Praise Jesus!" Trudy exclaimed! And she hugged Mrs. Robinson who was standing beside her, who was still in disbelief.
Everyone just stood there in awe, some smiling, some just still staring in amazement.
"Go around Raul and see the back side! Greg, go check inside! Kay, let's go this way! Let's all regroup at the Banquet Hall!" Telly instructed them.

"How are you Luca?" Telly asked she and Kay walked past their room when they inspected the West Wing part of the hotel. Their door was half open and they could hear the kids inside. The kids were playing so Luca stepped out of the room and talked with them. "Everything was just how we left it!" she replied, still couldn't believe her eyes! "This is a big miracle!"
"It surely is!" Telly replied. "We'll miss those kiddos when you leave tonight."
"Oh we won't," she said smiling. "We thought of staying a few more days and help with whatever we can. How can we leave when there is so much to do? We were just planning to go to the front desk to pay for a couple more days."
Telly and Kay couldn't believe what they heard. These strangers, were not strangers no more, but they were acting more like part of the community. "Wow, I dunno what to say?" Telly said holding back her tears. Instinctively, she hugged Luca. "Thank you!"
And Kay and Tel headed to the Banquet Hall to meet with Raul and Greg.
"So how's the back Raul?"
