~Harry's POV~

As I've said before, Harry Potter. You are a horrible person.

You ruined my life.

You don't deserve friends and so I've taken them away from you. Your little boyfriend too.

Meet me by the Room of Requirement tomorrow evening at seven if you ever want to see them again. Come alone and face me, or they die! Simple as that.

The choice is yours.

I let the note fall and my hands drop to my sides. I run my hand roughly through my hair and try to think. Was this for real? This had to be a joke. I feel my eyes sting. I bite my lip hard to keep the tears from falling. The salty and familiar taste of blood quickly fills my mouth. I ignore it and look around frantically. Neville notices and stands up from his bed.

"What's wrong Harry?" He grabs me by the shoulders and speaks firmly. I avoid his gaze and try to escape, but Neville holds me in place.

"I- the... They're gone." I say defeated. A single tear falls but I don't move to wipe it away.

"Who's gone?" Neville asks. I shake my head, not trusting myself to speak, and lead him to the note. He picks it up and looks at me wearily before reading it. His face pales and his eyes become wide. He suddenly pulls me into a hug. I'm startled, but I hug back desperate for someone to keep me from collapsing.

A couple minutes later, I pull away from the hug. My eyes are puffy and swollen, but I'm calm enough to talk now.

"We need to do something." I say decisively. I sit down on my bed to think.

"Like what?" Neville sits down on the bed across from mine. "Do you know who sent the note?" I shake my head. I know it was the same handwriting from the last note I received, but I have no idea who it belongs to.

"I don't know, but we have to tell Blaise and Pansy." I say. Neville nods in agreement. I take a breath and pull out my wand to cast a Patronus Charm. I read the message and tell it everything that's happened. As soon as I finish, it dashes out of the room.

"So what do we do now?" Neville asks, still looking frantic. I sigh and stare at my hands.

"As much as I hate to say it, there's nothing else we can do right now. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to talk to Blaise and Pansy. Let's try to get some sleep for now..." I grimace at my words. I hated sitting and waiting, especially when other people were at risk. What I said was true though. There was nothing we could do right now. Neville nods and heads over to his bed without saying a word.

I climb into mine as well and draw the curtains. I stare at the bed canopy. Eventually, my eyelids become heavy and a restless sleep overtakes me. My thoughts are crowded with questions and panic about Ron, Hermione, Draco, and even the anonymous person. Who is it? What did I do to them? Where are they keeping my friends? What do they want from me? Are my friends okay?

~

I feel someone shaking me and I sit up quickly, covered in a cold sweat. I grab my glasses and see Neville standing beside my bed looking concerned. I glance over at the window to see the sun already rising. Without saying a word, I get up and push past Neville to get ready. I put on some clothes and splash water on my face. My lip is cracked from where I bit it yesterday. I have dark circles and bags under my eyes. I blink a couple of times and then walk away to meet Neville in the Common Room.

I find him pacing when I get there. He doesn't notice me until a put a hand on his shoulder. He suddenly stops and turns towards me frightened. His expression softens a bit when he realizes it's me.

"Let's go find Blaise and Pansy." I say already starting towards the Portrait. Neville scrambles after me and we walk quickly to the Great Hall. I'm a bit surprised to see Pansy and Blaise already waiting there for us.

"Potter!" Pansy exclaims while hurrying towards us. "I got your message yesterday. Draco didn't come back to the common room last night. Are you sure that this is for real?!" She looks at me pleadingly. I wish I could tell her it wasn't true, but I can't. When I don't say anything, she lets out a breath in disbelief and sorrow. I try quite hard to keep my heart from falling apart right then and there. I had to stay strong. For Draco.

"Look." I say turning Pansy's head to look at me. "I'm going to get him back. I promise." I know I probably shouldn't say promises I wasn't sure I could keep, but I had to believe it was true. I manage a small smile and Pansy pulls me into a bone crushing hug. Her hug and Blaise's distant look are so similar to Ron and Hermione that it takes all my effort to keep from breaking down. When Pansy pulls away I look at the both of them and then at Neville.

"We need a plan."

~

The four of us decide to skip breakfast and head into an empty classroom. I cast a locking charm and then a silencing one, just to be safe. When I'm done I turn to the three of them all watching me expectantly. All this brings back memories of the war. I push away the thought and focus on making a plan. I take the note out of my pocket and hand it to Pansy.

"The note says to come alone or they will all be killed." I state. Pansy nods. "Alright then, I will go alone." All three of them begin to protest, but I wave my hands for them to stop. "You didn't let me finish. We'll let them think I came alone, but you guys will be there too. I'll need two people down the hall and one with me."

"But won't they know that one of us is with you?" Blaise asks with furrowed eyebrows.

"Not if you're invisible." I suggest. Blaise and Pansy looked even more confused now, but Neville has started to catch on.

"The invisibility cloak!" He exclaims. I manage a small smile and nod.

"You have an invisibility cloak?!" Pansy asks looking a bit excited.

"Yeah, it's upstairs in my dorm." I gesture somewhere behind me and continue to explain the plan. "The person under the cloak will be there to stop the anonymous person if anything bad happens. The other two will be there as backup if needed or to get a teacher if things get really bad."

I look around the room for approval. No one says anything at first, but then Blaise shrugs.

"I'm down. For Draco." He says.

"I don't want anyone getting hurt, so I'm in too." Neville declares. Pansy nods.

"Me too." she says confidently.

"It's settled then. I'll meet you guys at Gryffindor Tower thirty minutes before. We can decide who does what then." Everyone nods in agreement and we exit the room. I say a quick goodbye and head off to my first class.

Whoever this anonymous person may be was in for a horrible surprise later...
