Woah!

I woke up tired. I don't know why, I slept like a rock last night but oh well. I slipped out of bed and looked in the mirror and sighed. My blonde hair was everywhere and I had black circles under my eyes. I put my hair in a messy bun not wanting to brush it. I slipped on a black sweatshirt since it was cold in the mountain. I shuffled out of my bedroom and walked to the kitchen. Meagan and Suberboy were still sleeping so I decided to make pancakes for them. I went to the fridge and wen to open it. Only problem was was my hand going straight threw the fridge. I froze, what the heck just happened. "Meagan!!" I yelled starting to panic. Woah do I have like superpowers now! Still kinda weird though and kinda scary. "Skylar is everything ok?" Meagan said flying in wearing a pink tank top with matching pants. I shook my head no and she came over and hugged me. "What happened you can tell me" she said pulling back to look at me. "I-I think I have a superpower" I said nervously. "Skylar that's great!, why are you so nervous?" She asked confused. "What if I can't control it and something happens" I blurted out. "Calm down, it's okay. What power do you think you have?" She asked excited. Well she's more excited then me. I sighed. "Well I was about to open the fridge, but my hand went through the fridge" I said. "Wow, you can phase through things! I can't even do that yet. Don't worry Uncle Johnn will help you. He knows how to as well" Meagan said still excited. "What's going on in here, Shadow are you okay?" Superboy said running in. "I'm fine Superboy, thanks though" I said smiling. He grunted in response and left probably to watch Static Tv again. That was weird, Superboy caring about others. 'I know right.' I heard Meagan say in my head. I freaked 'what the heck? Is this a Martian thing?' I asked mentally. 'Yup! This how we usually communicate.' 'Cool, uh just as a heads up, the others might freak if you do this' I said well thought I guess. She nodded and smiled. "Come, let's go get my Uncle" she said aloud this time grabbing my hand. She pulled me into the main room where the holographic computer was. She started typing on the computer and a screen popped up saying calling Martian Manhunter. Seconds later Martian Manhunter appeared on the screen. "Meagan, as much as I love to see you, this must be important or else I have to go" he said. "Well uh Uncle Johnn, we think Skylar has a power, it's Phasing and since you know how to do that I thought you could help her" Meagan said smiling. "Hm I see" he said turning to me. "Is this true, Shadow?" he asked. I nodded "yes sir" I said. "okay, I'll come to the Cave now, we can talk about this" he said ending the call. I turned towards Meagan "thank you" I said hugging her. "No problem Skylar" she said hugging back. "Enter A07 Martian Manhunter" the zeta tube announced. "Hello Uncle Johnn" Meagan said running up to her uncle and hugging him. He returned the hug and looked at me. "Are you ready to began your lesson?" He asked. "Uuh sure I guess" I said shrugging. "Then let us begin." He said approaching me.
*Time Skip*
After two hours of practicing I almost had my "power" in control. It was kind of confusing but I soon understood. I was now excited about my power it was pretty cool. I can now walk through walls and objects but not for a long time, not yet anyway. As for walking through people, well I'm to scared to try that at the moment. I'd probably try it once after I completely mastered the art of "phasing". "Thank you Sir" I said smiling. "Anytime Shadow, that is one of the reasons why the league exist" he said turning to the zeta beams. "I must go now, I have to tell the league about this, don't worry child, they won't be angry" he said leaving. "Bye Uncle Johnn" Meagan said waving. "Well that was interesting" I said heading to the kitchen. "Ya it was" Meagan said flyin behind me. "I'm starving, how about some pancakes?" I asked her. "Sure!" She said happily. After making the batter Meagan began cooking it and I went to get Superboy. I knocked on his door but there was no response. I decided to practice my power and Phased through. It felt werid when phasing through objects. I can't explain what it feels like though. Superboy was sprawled out on his bed, lazy bum it's 10 o'clock and he's still sleeping. I nudged his arm with my leg "wake up lazy bum, breakfast is almost ready" I said. He grunted and leaned up stretching. "Did you guys make pancakes?" He asked. "Yup ever had any before" I asked. "Nope" he said. "Well your in for a treat" I said phasing through the door to freak him out. I heard the door open fast and I turned to see Superboy with a slightly confused face. "When did you learn to do that?" He asked. "This morning when you were sleeping" I said smirking. "Ah whatever" he said heading to the kitchen. I laughed and followed him. Meagan had everything ready and I went to the coffee machine and made a cup while the others ate. "Well Superboy, how does it taste" I asked raising an eyebrow. "it's pretty good" he said shrugging. I smiled and sat down next to him and dug into my breakfast. I finished and drank the rest of my coffee and leaned back. "Well that was filling" I said. Meagan took my plate away and I Thanked her. I stood up and stretched my arms above my head. "Welp, I'm gonna go take a shower before the others get here" I said heading to my room. I took a quick shower and blow dried my hair. I left it down and decided what to wear. It was summer but it was windy out so I put on a pair of dark skinny jeans, my favorite pair of black combat boots that has neon green laces, and a black tank top. I quickly put concealer on to cover my dark circles and left my room. I decided to go watch tv until the others would come.
