Hanging out with Meagan

"What do you mean I'm living at the mountain now?" I asked my mentor Black Canary.

"Exactly what I said" she stated. She held her hand to her head. "Look, Shadow your 12 and I don't want you living by yourself. I'm gonna be stuck at the tower for awhile and if rather you stay here at the cave. Besides Superboy and Meagan will be here as well." she said trying to reason with me. I crossed my arms.

"and what about school?" I asked. "Glad you asked. You'll be attending the school here in Happy Harbor" she said smiling. Great just what I need, a new school. I gave up, it's not like I was gonna win anyway. Lets be real here it is Black Canary.

"Fine" I said looking at the wall.

She placed a hand on my shoulder "Thanks, it's not gonna be as bad as you think it will" she said smiling. I just nodded. "I have to go now. you can ask the team for help in moving" she said walking to the zeta beams. "Bye Canary" I said. "Bye Shadow".

I left the large debriefing room and headed to my new room. It wasn't that bad. The room was bigger then my old one. I walked out and headed to the Zeta beams. "Hey shadow where ya going" I heard Meagan ask flying over to me.

"Just to my place to get some stuff. Black Canary said I have to move into the cave since she's not gonna be home a lot" I said typing in my designated location. "Cool! Do you mind if I come with?" She asked excited. "Sure, if you really want to" I said.

"Let's go" I said stepping through. In a flash I was in a phone both in Star City. I waited for Meagan and when she arrived she had lightly tanned skin instead of her green tone. "I thought it would be better to look more normal" she said with a small smile.

I nodded and smiled at her. I stuffed my hands into my lime green sweatshirt and walked down the streets to my apartment. "I've always wondered what this city looked like" Meagan said excitedly. I smiled. "It is a nice city, but it gets very loud and annoying" I said shrugging. we reached my apartment and I unlocked the door and walked in heading towards my room.

"Nice place." Meagan said exploring. I reached my room and got out some bags for my clothes and some other stuff. "So shadow, what's your real name? If that's okay if I ask" she said strolling into my room. "Skylar" I said pulling out some of my skinny jeans and throwing them into my bag. "Wow, that's a pretty name" she said sitting on my bed."Thanks, I like yours too" I said with a small blush.

Don't judge, I'm just not usually complimented.

"Thank you. Would you like some help?" She asked. "Sure, could you please put some shirts into this bag. you can choose which ones, doesn't really matter" I said handing her a bag. After putting a couple Shorts into the same bag I went to my bookshelf and packed some of my favorite books. "You like reading I see" Meagan said looking a my full bookshelf.

"Ya I do, it passes the time" I said rubbing the back of my head with a grin. After putting in about ten books I threw in a sketch pad and some drawing utensils as well. "You draw?" She asked. "ya from time to time, I have to be in the mood, ya know?" I said shrugging again.

"Ya I guess so. oh and I finished. Want me to do anything else?" She asked setting the packed bag down. "no thanks, I'm done." I said zipping up the three bags. I took the two heavy ones and gave her the light one with a smile that said thanks.

We left the house and made our way back to the zeta tube. After going to the mountain, Meagan helped me set up my room and we jumped on my bed both sighing. "Well that was fun. I'm glad your on the team Meagan.Maybe staying at the mountain won't be so bad" I said folding my hands behind my head.

She laughed "Ya it was, I feel like your older sister." she said laughing. I smiled, I always wanted a sister too.

"Wanna explore Happy Harbor?" i asked leaning up.
