Red who?

I checked my watch and it said 12 o'clock. The others should be here soon. I headed to the main room and I heard the zeta tubes go off.
"Enter B01 Robin"
the computer said and sure enough Robin came out dressed in skinny jeans, converse and a hoodie. He even had sunglasses on.
"Hey Robin" I said waving. "sup Shadow" he said giving me a high five. "Nothing much how about you?" I asked him. "Nothing really, I wonder if well get a mission today" he said stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Who knows" I said shrugging.
"B02 Kid Flash"
the computer said aloud. "Yo what up Rob, Shadow" he said high fiving Robin and waving to me. "Hey KF" I said waving back. Meagan came in soon after and welcomed the boys. "hey guys, how are you doing" she asked standing next to me. "Pretty good babe, how about you" he asked raising an eyebrow. Robin and I rolled our eyes while Meagan just ignored the babe part. "Pretty good" she answered.
"Enter B04 Aqualad"
The computer announced. Superboy came in from his room soon after and the team was all here. "Good afternoon everyone" Aqualad said smiling. "Hey Aqualad" I said smiling back. "Oh I have an idea, lets ask Red if he has a mission for us" KF said. Aqualad nodded and brought up the computer and began typing "he says he well be arriving soon" Aqualad said turning to face KF. "So what are we waiting for let's go" He said taking of the the hanger doors. We followed after him and waited for Red to arrive. "Red Tornado!" KF said waving his hands. Red landed and we all approached him "Greetings. Is there a reason you intercept me outside the cave?" Asked looking at us. "We hoped you had a mission for us." Robin said. "Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility." Red said in his mechanical voice. But it's been over a week, and nothing--" I started but Red cut me off. "You'll be tested soon enough. For the time being, simply enjoy each other's company." He said. "This team is not a social club." Aqualad said annoyed. "No, but I am told social interaction Is an important team-building exercise.
Perhaps you can keep busy by familiarizing yourself with the cave." He said and left. "Keep busy.
Does he think we're falling for this?" Robin asked annoyed. I was alittle annoyed but oh well. "Oh, I'll find out." She tried reading his mind but I knew it wouldn't work. "I'm sorry.
I forgot he's a machine, inorganic.
I cannot read his mind." She said sadly. Nice try, though. So, uh, you know what I'm thinkin' right now?" KF said in a flirting tone. "We all know what you're thinkin' now." Robin said hitting him. I laughed "Ow." KF said complaining. "And now we tour the clubhouse." Aqualad said still annoyed. Well, Superboy, Shadow and I live here.
We can play tour guides." Meagan said smilong. I Shrugged while Superboy held his hands up. "Don't look at me." He said. "We won't.
A private tour sounds much more fun." KF said leaning towards Meagan. "Sh-she never said private." Robin said. "Team building. We'll all go." Aqualad said looking towards Us.
*Time skip*
"So this would be our front doorAnd this would be the back. The cave is actually the entire mountain." Meagan said. Finally the tour was over. "It was hollowed out and reinforced By Superman and Green Lantern in the early days of the League." KF said, probably trying to impress Meagan. Sorry KF but she's got her eyes on someone else. "Then why abandon it for the hall of justice?" Superboy asked. "The cave's secret location was compromised." I answered. "So they traded it in for a tourist trap?" He asked confused. "Basically, Yeah." Robin said. "That makes sense." He said sarcastically. "If villains know of the cave, We must be on constant alert." Meagan said worriedly. "The bad guys know we know they know about the place, So they'd never think to look here." Robin said making me confused. "Uh" Meagan started. "he means we're hiding in plain sight." KF said seeing her confused face. "Ah, that's much clearer." She said with a laugh. "I smell smoke." Superboy said turning his head. "My cookies! Never mind." Meagan said rushing to the kitchen. "I bet they'd have tasted great. He doesn't seem to mind." Robin said pointing to KF who was eating the burned cookies.
"I have a serious metabolism." He said with his mouth full. I laughed alittle and Meagan smiled. I'll make more?" She asked. "It was sweet of you to make any." Aqualad said smiling. It's an Earth name, and I'm on Earth now." She said happily. "Skylar" I said when she finished. All of a sudden Superboy yelled out "Get out of my head!" 'What's wrong? I don't understand. Everyone on Mars communicates telepathically.' Meagan thought through everyone's minds. Uh oh she must've forgot about or little conversation before. "Meagan, stop. Things are different on Earth. Here, your powers are an extreme invasion of privacy." Aqualad said surprised. "Besides, cadmus' creepy little psychic genomes Left a bad taste in his brain." KF said pointing at Superboy. Well that's rude. "I--I didn't mean to--" Meagan started. "Just stay out." Superboy said angrily. Poor guy. poor Meagan too it's not like she meant it. "Hello, Megan. I know what we can do." She said hitting her head and flying out. We all followed out but she stopped and flew back to Superboy. "Superboy, please?" She asked. "Don't talk to me." He said turning away. She flew up to me and a laid a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. She smiled and nodded a thank you. We entered the garage and walked up to an egg like form thing. "It's my martian bioship." She said proudly
"Cute. Not aerodynamic, but cute." KF said looking it over. "It's at rest, silly. I'll wake it." She said and waved her hand. The egg thing started to morph and soon turned into a ship. The hatches opened and she walked in. "Well, are you coming?" She asked us. I went first and sat to the left next to Meagans seat. A belt stretched across me and secured me in. Cool. "Strap in for launch." She said taking her seat. "Whoa." Robin said from the seat in front of me. "Red Tornado, please open the bay doors." Meagan said through a comm. "Incredible." Aqualad said amazed. "She sure is.
I--I mean the ship, Which, like all ships, is a she." KF said stuttering. I laughed at him. "Fast with his feet, not so much with his mouth." Robin said adding more to my little laugh.
"Dude!" KF said annoyed. I looked at Meagan "He'll come around." I said trying to comfort her. "He doesn't seem to like me much." She said looking sad. I was about to say he didn't until KF butted in "You guys remember he has super hearing, right?" He said. "Hey, how 'bout showing us a little martian shape-shifting?" Robin said changing the topic. Nice save Robin. Meagan stood up and changed into Robin then into KF. Only problem was was that she was in a female form still. "Is it wrong that I think I'm hot?" KF said causing me to roll my eyes. "Impressive, But you know you're not exactly gonna fool anyone with those." Robin said with a smirk. "Mimicking boys is a lot harder." She said looking away. "And your clothes?" KF asked. I-it's a very advanced technique." She said returning her gaze back to the others. I saw Robin noticed and I got nervous. It's not like I'm embarrassed, I just don't want them to know yet cause then they'll think I can do it easily. "Flash can vibrate his molecules right through a wall.
Heh heh heh. When he tries it, bloody nose." Robin said laughing. "Dude!" KF yelled. I snickered. "Here's something I can do. Camouflage mode." I couldn't really notice but hey still cool to me. "Red Tornado to Miss Martian. An emergency alert has been triggered At the Happy Harbor power plant.
I suggest you investigate covertly.
I'm sending coordinates." Reds voice said through a comm. "Received. Adjusting course." She said steering the ship into the other directions.
"Tornado's keeping us busy again." KF said annoyed crossing his arms.
"Well, a simple fire led you to Superboy." Meagan said trying to lighten up the annoyed mood. "We should find out what caused the alert" I said while Meagan flew to the location. Whe n we arrived to the location Turbilance hit us cause the ship to spin. Meagan took control of the ship and she was able to land next to a ware house. we all jumped out and watched as a tornado went around the warehouse and screams could be heard. "I think I know the cause." KF said pulling out his googles and slipping them on. "Robin, are tornadoes common to New England? Robin?" Aqualad asked while I saw Robin dash away silently. Dummy ever heard of teamwork. Everyone was looking for where he went suprised at how quickly he disappeared. "He was just here." KF said. "He's already inside come on" I said running towards the warehouse with the other behind me. "Unh!" Robin said landing besides me as I entered the warehouse. I looked up to see a red robot thing. Kinda like red tornado but more bulky. He had a scarf around his neck and tubes that went from his back to his wrists. "Who's your new friend?" KF said helping Robin up. "Didn't catch his name, but he plays kinda rough." He answered brushing himself off. "My apologies. You may address me as Mr. Twister." It said holding up it's hands casuing to twisters to come out and head towards us. Suberboy charged but was slowed and blown back casuing him to hit the wall hard. I stood next to Robin trying ot think of a plan to be able to stop Twister or to even be able to land a blow. Meagan, Aqualad and KF charged ahead with Kf leading . He was thrown ot the side and out of the warehouse hitting the parking lot floor and skidding across it.
Meagan and Kaldur charged next but were easily blown away and smack against the wall. " I was prepared to be challenged by a superhero. I was not, however, expecting children." Red Twister annoyed. - We're not children!" Robin said taking out explosive disk and throwing while I did the same but he blow them away with ease but one of mine stuck to his chest. He looked at it and flicked it off before it could go off
"Objectively, you are. Have you no adult supervision? I find your presence here quite disturbing." Twister said.
"Well, we hate to see you disturbed.
Let's see if you're more turbed once we kick your can." Robin said almost mockingly. An explosive went off above twister and Superboy fell down attempting to punch him but failed. Kaldur and Robin charged but were put into a twister and flung around until the two collided. Sneaking around behind Twister I grabbed onto his back and phased him into the ground causing him to be stuck. I let go and unphazed myself so I can on hard ground again and I went to throw a hard punch but he broke threw the concrete. his metal arm made contact with my cheek and I was thrown back into Superboy. "Yaah! - Indeed.
That was quite turbing. Thank you." Twoster said turning to leave. I groaned and got up off of Superboy. "Sorry" I said holding out a hand to help him up. "its fine" he said taking my help. We ran outside and I saw Wally about to be thrown into the wall. Meagan caught him using her telepathy and brought him down next to us "I got you, Wally." She called out. "Thanks." He said turning his gaze back to Twister. "I would have thought you had all learned your limitations by now." Twister said "What do you want?!" Kaldur yelled. "Isn't it obvious? I'm waiting for a real hero." Twister answered bluntly. "Read his mind.
Find a weakness." I told Meagan. "I thought I wasn't supposed to do that." She asked confused. "It's ok with the bad guys." Robin yelled at her. "Nothing. I'm getting nothing. Hello, Megan.Mr. Twister is Red Tornado in disguise. He's inorganic, an android.
And how many androids do you know that can generate tornados?" She said smacking her head like it was obvious. I didn't buy it though. "Red Tornado sent us here." Kaldur said. "After saying we'd be tested soon enough.
This is his test, something to keep us busy." Robin added. "Speedy called it.
We're a joke." Wally said annoyed. "But guys I don't-" "Unh!" I was cut off by an annoyed Wally. "This game, so over." Robin said approaching Twister. "We know who you are and what you want.
So let's end this." Kaldur said following Robin. "Consider it ended." Twister said angrily. he began generating three large twisters and I got nervous "An impressive show, But we will not indulge you. We will not engage." Kaldur said. "Uh, can Red Tornado do that?" Wally asked worriedly. "You think I'm Tornado? Ironic." He said sending a larger twister our way. It hit us hard and I was sent back. someone landed on me causing my breath to be knocked out of me. "Fine, then.
I won't deny you children have power, But playing hide-and-seek with you Would not help me achieve my objectives, So stay concealed.
If you confront me again, I will show no mercy." I heard Twister say "What happened?" Wally asked. The person on top of me got up and I saw it was Robin. "sorry" he said dusting himself off before holding a hand out for me."I placed the bio ship between us." Meagan answered. I took it and he pulled me up with ease "Unh! Unh! And that's supposed to make it right? You tricked us into thinking Twister was Red Tornado." Superboy said punching to rocks into pieces before approaching Meagan. I stood in between the two thinking Superboy was gonna grab her and his face looked hurt but was quickly replaced with his usual angry face. "She didn't do it on purpose." I said standing up for her
"I-it was a rookie mistake. We shouldn't have listened." Robin said said. "You are pretty inexperienced.
Hit the showers." Wally said taking off towards Twister. "We'll take it from here." He added "Stay out of our way." Superboy said following after them. I looked at Meagan and she looked devastated. "I was just trying to be part of the team." She said looking down.
" To be honest, I'm not sure we really have a team." Kaldur said before running off. I laid a hand on Meagan's shoulder and she looked up at me. "let's go" I said getting ready to start following them. "no you go" she said not taking no for an answer. I sighed and nodded before taking off I catch up to the others.

**Time Skip**
"Certainly this will get the required attention." Twister said destroying the buildings that was by the pier. "You got ours, Full and undivided!" Wally said kicking Twisters chest making him stagger back a bit I " Immaterial and insufficient! You are a distraction I can no longer tolerate." He said annoyed.
"Hraah!" Superboy yelled trying to slam into him. He dodged it and punched Superboy in the face. Robin Kaldur and I charged him dodging his twisters. Wally was running around trying to get every shot that was open and dodgeing twisters at the same time while Robin threw explosives. I tried getting close to him by sinking into the ground. I popped up from underneath him and grabbed his ankles and pulled him onto the ground. Superboy took this opportunity and punch Twister right in the face. Twister grabbed Superboy and threw him towards a house and then threw a boat after him. he looked down at me. he tried to grab me but I phased throw him and he sighed angrily. "well your an annoying one" he said before generating a large twister right in front of me. My eyes widened and I was spun around until I was thrown into a nearby building. "Ow" I said annoyed trying to get out of the debris. "Listen to me" Meagan said telepathically which scared me. "All of you." She added. she must've set up a mind link. "What did we tell you?" superboy growled angrily "I know, and I know I messed up, But now I'm very clear on what we need to do. Please trust me." She said and she began filling us in on her plan. As Meagan filled us in Red tornado showed up. "Hit the showers, boys and girl. I was hoping you could handle this. Clearly you cannot." Red tornado said landing down in front of us. "But we've got a plan now." Robin argued. "The subject is not up for debate." He said ending the subject. I sighed and walked away from the area with the rest of the team to stay clear from the battle. "I was beginning to believe you'd never show up." Twister said over confidently. "I'm here now." Red said and the two started to fight. "We are evenly matched, Twister." "No, Tornado, we are not." Twister argued sending a powerful attack towards red. Red went down. "Remain still, android. The reprogramming won't take long." Twister said making wires pop out if his hands and attaching them to reds neck. I smirked. "Longer than you might think." Meagan said reds head turning back into Meagan's. "No." He said completely confused. KF went into twister mode again (AN: basically spinning fast enough to make a tornado) sending twister towards SB who pummeled him into the bay. Aqualad ruffed him up a bit in the water causing an explosion to launch twister out of the water and landing hard on the ground. sparks emitted out of his android body that was slowly breaking apart. Meagan lifted him up and broke of his arms. Robin and I destroyed his legs with out destructive disks. Meagan dropped him. Twisters chest opened and a man with brown hair and gray sideburns fell out "Foul. I--I call foul." He stuttered. Meagan raised a rock. "Meagan, no!" Aqualad and I yelled but it was to late. she smashed it on top of him. I looked at her in shock. "Don't know how things are done on Mars, But on Earth, we don't execute our captives!" Robin yelled at her. "You said you trust me." She smirked. I'm confused was he like an android or something then. She raised the rock and as I thought a smashed up android lay on the ground sparking."That's why I couldn't read his mind." She said placing a hand on her hip. Nice one Meagan. "Cool. Souvenir." KF said picking up a metal eye. "dork" I muttered crossing my arms over my chest. "We should have had more faith in you." Aqualad said placing a hand on her shoulder. She smiled back. Yeah. You rocked this mission. Get it? Rocked." KF joked. "boooo" I said giving him a thumbs down. "Ignore him. We're all just turbed you're on the team." Robin said his voice cracking a bit. "Heh. Thanks.
Me, too." She said still smiling.

"It was clearly created to sabotage or destroy you." Aqualad said finishing up what happened today. I stood next to the sitting Robin my elbows resting on the table as I tapped my fingers boredly. "Agreed." Red said studying the broken pieces of the robot. "Is that why you wouldn't help us?" Meagan asked. "No. This was your battle.
I do not believe it is my role to solve your problems for you. Nor should you solve mine for me." He answered looking down at her. "But if you're in danger" she countered. "Consider this matter closed." Turning and leaving. KF stood up with Robin following suit.
"Batman, Aquaman, and Flash, They'd have jumped right in to fix things." KF said but red ignored him. "Guess if we're gonna have a baby sitter, A heartless machine is exactly what we need." Robin said. I hit the back of his head for being rude. He shot me a glare look holding his head in pain. I raised an eyebrow taunting him to try something. "Dude! Harsh." KF said.
"And inaccurate. I have a heart, Carbon-steel alloy.I also have excellent hearing." Red stated turning to look at Robin. I laughed quietly at the embarrassed Robin. "Heh. Right.Sorry.
I'll strive to be more accurate." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "And more respectful." Aqualad added wrapping an arm across robins shoulder. "Speedy was so wrong." KF said leaving. I followed along with the others "This team thing Might just work out." Aqualad concluded.
