"And that is why, Mr.Gold, we do not use Wikipedia as a souce of research," droned Mrs.Petty in her harsh, nails-on-chalkboard voice, her face slowly flushing as she criticised Dalton's paper. "Because I am quite sure that Artemis was not the godess of wild parties and drinking."
The class erupted in laughter, though I didn't understand what was so funny. This was the least of my stunts. I could totally do better, just wait. Mrs. Petty didn't stand a chance against my master plan for classroom domination.
"-a great job, Beck," Mrs. Petty was saying. "Don't you think, Dalton?"
"Ungh, what?"
"I was explaining to the class what an exemplary essay Beck wrote," she said with a sneer. "Maybe you should take some tips from him, seeing as he actually tried."
I rolled my eyes and turned in my seat to look at Beck, who was presently rifling through an unsuspecting Mrs. Petty's computer. How in the hell he manages to hack the security locks and retsrictions will always remain a mystery to me.
Oh yeah, that guy would have some great tips to give me. God, the most work he probably did was pressing "copy" and "paste".
Mrs.Petty continued to read other students papers, to their horror. Ugh, Greek was the most boring class out of the whole day, and since it was at the end, it dragged on forever. To make matters worst, Beck and I were the only kids in the class that had ADHD and dyslexia. We probably had more problems, but our parents probably thought we couldn't handle all the big words.
"Yo, Dalton, hey do you think you could come to my party this weekend," whispered my "friend" Trip. "Its at the Northern Springs club. Wren and Bella will be there and I'm getting my license, so we can drive around and stuff."
What a d-.
"Sounds cool. I'll try to make it, man."
I turned around and started drumming my pencils on my desk. Trip was one rich dude, and loved to flaunt it. Every couple of weeks, he'll have some outrageous party that everyone goes to. Just as we're all getting over the excitement, Trip will throw another rager and everyone's pumped again. I was not looking forward to his sixteenth birthday, which would be flashy and over the top.
I guess I couldn't hate too much though. My school, Craig Academy, was an exclusive and elite center for "budding excellence". In other words, it was a school for troubled rich kids. It was definitely one-in-a-million. Three out of every group of five students were complete and total jackasses. The rest were just annoying pricks.
My mother was a famous actress. That's how she had won over my father, who had left as soon as I was born. Typical.
That wierd guy, Beck, his father had gone off the deep end about a year after he had been born. He had been a magican, and a very rich one at that. Even though he was a has-been, Beck's father still had all his fortune, and so students had polite respect for him.
